    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Phantom Reptiles / Ray Strickland Bad deal gone worse

This guy needs to learn about snakes before he tries to sell any.

He is asking the seller of a pastel BP on Retibid in the Q&A section if the snake comes with papers.

Why would you need papers for a pastel? Just looking at one you can tell whether or not they are pastels or normals. There are no hets so you don't need papers.

But its $20 , one of the moderators gave him another fine for creating another user name to create fake BOI posts.

I would love for RayRay to come on here and attempt to defend himself.

He wouldn't understand the papers if the pastel did come with them.
 
I contacted reptibid the other day about his scamming and decieiving. I reported the user names I knew his was going by, and I got a response back that said the IP's didn't match exactly, but they were 99% sure it was him. I also have reason to believe that he is now using the name meanstreetreptiles to peddle his herps. He also answers some of his Q&A with meanstreetsreptiles , thus just adding an S between street and reptiles. I just hope for all animals sakes that this guy goes down hard and fast!!!!!! :flamethr: :blowup:

Guys like Ray need to be out of buisiness for good. Being stuck on dial up takes too long for me to keep good track of him so I'm glad someone is. Hopefully no one else is getting the wrong end of the stick from this guy.

Hey you guys, sadly enough I have dealt with Mr. Strickland (Thomas) too. I won an auction for a CB ball python 1600 gram female and sent him an e-mail promptly requesting payment information.As soon as he e-mailed me back I sent him payment by paypal.He told me to e-mail him back with which snake I wanted and he would ship it out in two days and call me with a conformation number the day it shipped out. He never called. The snake arrived in a DVD player sized box with no insulation, a single heat pack that was no longer warm and the snake was so large in comparison to the packaging that I was suprised it had room to breathe. It was contained in a cotton bag that was ice cold to the touch. Upon removing the snake from the bag I noticed lots of scarring and ticks on it and it was very very lethargic, in addition to not being the snake I ordered. I called him up told him I recieved the wrong snake, he blamed the error on an assistant and said if I shipped her back he would send me the right snake. Before I had a chance to do that, a friend of mine came over (he didn't like snakes up until this point) felt sorry for her, fell in love with her and had me call Mr. Strickland to see if we sent him another two hundred dollars if we could keep this snake and he would just ship us out the one I ordered. About three days later snake number two arrives, shipped the same way, ticks on her too. Still not the right snake. My daughter read a post on another forum from someone saying that Mr.Strickland might be posting males as females so she took the two snakes to see her friend Tony Hurt from snake evolutions to make sure they were both female. The snakes are both female and weigh around 1600 grams, are in decent health but in Tony's opinion based on the snake ticks, some unusual scarring and their behavior they are both wild caught. I will live with the two females I have, but I urge the rest of you refrain from dealing with this man. Linda Adkins.

Time to bump this up with a new update.............

Ray is now using the user name Slayersreptiles.

He is using the same pics of animals he used when he was phantomreptiles, dolphins34real, meanstreetreptiles, and meanstreetsreptiles.

I know there are a lot of reptibid "users/surfers" on here, so just be aware that this guy is still at it.
 
It appears to me that he also just listed some more ads under the User ID of: "Phantomlordreptiles" on Reptibid. Same reptiles, same descriptions, same font on descriptions, very slightly different e-mail address. Just wanted to let you guys know.

It has been confirmed to me that "Phantomlordreptiles" on Reptibid and "Phantomreptiles" on Reptibid are absolutely 110% the same person. However, both accounts have been removed from thier system by the Reptibid Webmaster so that no one else gets ripped off. Just thought you guys might like to know.

I would take that to mean that our recent registrant "Phantomlordreptiles" is Mr. Strickland bypassing his ban?

Wow, it seems like this person is angry at the whole world. As soon as he is busted under one alias, another is created in its place, with the sole intent to defraud hobbyist of animals and/or money. Being that it's interstate commerce can't the federal B.I. get involved. Hell it might even be a R.I.C.O. violation. I mean the guy seems hell bent for leather on ripping people off. Oh well just a thought. I guess this person doesnt believe in carma. For what little they gain monetarily, they loose a 1000 times as much in piece of mind. Always being apprehensive about someone looking for some payback. Whew........almost like being in IRAQ. For whats its worth maybe Ray RAY can be a real man and join the ARMY(Infantry) and get shipped to IRAQ. In IRAQ his desire to put himself in harms way will have a benefit to more than just himself. Plus if he does something like that, his family(but most importantly his children) will have reason to be proud of him instead of being ashamed, as im sure they surely are if they know what he is doing. Since you say i'm him.Who has gotten ripped off?I dont see any posts of someone being robbed or their money taken and no reptiles sent?I see people replying and saying they were not satified with their dealings with Ray Strickland,But i fail to see any kind of fraud? Fraud is haveing money sent to you and never sending any thing back.And i do not see that of yet here.
I see some mad people,For what ever reason bashing a person(Will someone come forward and state they were ripped off by Ray Strickland,and that they sent money and received nothing in return.I fail to see why this thread is even taking the twist that it is.Being unsatisfied and being robbed are 2 different things,So i would maybe start thinking first before you speak.Having a bad deal is not being robbed.Has anyone received dead snakes? Has anyone sent money and received nothing at all?

I don't know you and will not judge you, but one thing is somewhat curious. Your writing style is very similar to that of Ray Strickland's. The same use of multiple punctuation marks. Throughout your post, you end questions with ???? or make statements using !!!!.

I noticed that in reading some of Ray Strickland's posts - he does the exact same thing.

Oh come on guys...how far are we going to foster this charade. "Chip" is far more interested in defending Ray than he is in convincing us he is not Ray. They have already been proven to be the same person on Reptibid. A simple IP check can put this one to rest.

Oh and "Chip", fraud IS paying for something and receiving something other than what you ordered. Your narrow definition apparently calms a guilty conscience but the deals described here attributed to ray Strickland do constitute fraud

Since i read this forum,I have contacted Ray through e-mail and listened to his side of all this.I stated what i thought on this forum,Whether it is heard or ignored that is for who ever to judge.I feel that some of these people are jumping to conclusion with out talking to both side of the problem.Saying someone ripped you off,But then saying he sent you what you wanted but it was a little under weight is not fraud in my book.For what ever reason,
And i sound like i'm defending him but i;m not.I'm just trying to understand that if someone makes a deal and then is not satisfied with their deal,Then they say oh i was ripped off.I have been ripped off before and it was,I sent money for some animals and the person just never contacted me ever again,That is fraud.But if he would of sent me an animal that was stated to have a weight of 1000grams and when i received the animal and it was 900 grams,Then that is perseived to be a misunder standing.On the other hand if they said 1000 grams and if really was 100 grams,Well thats a different story.IO havent heard any one say that he never sent them anything,Or that he just screwed them over big time.What i read is that there are some people that were not happy with what they got.
That is not fraud.And the fact that he sent the other guys snakes back is kind of weird.Why would'nt he have just kept them?That doesnt sound like a crook in my book.

I have read all of the posts and it seems to me that i havent read anyone saying that they were really ripped off.
Fraud is when you order a boa and receive a python.
Or saying this snake is healthy when it is dieing.
If you buy a snake off line and say it is 1000 grams and you get a snake that is 900 grams is that really fraud?
And why is every one bashing this person with out knowing the other side.
First of all i talked to Ray Strickland and he has stated that he has sent numeous e-mails to fauna to find out how to pay his fines.But no one ever e-mails him back.
Sorry if i'm for the under dog but i think there is a little more to this story.

So say I were to see some dudes add where he claims to have yada, yada great C.B.B. Ball Python etc... and I agree to purchase it from him and send money. He then sends me a sick and/or underweight Ball Python with ticks and whatnot, etc... Then he avoids dealing with me and won't give my money back.

THAT my friend, is FRAUD perpetrated by a FRAUD.

But where has that happened?All i see is two or three names of people that are posting these threads.And two of thge three have never ever dealt with the person in question,Per their own posted threads.I have not seen sick or dead snakes?I have not seen but one post of real under weight.And that was what 200 grams.whether wrong or not.This sounds like misunderstanding.There is to many real crooks on here that are stealing peoples money,For us to say oh that snakes weight was off by 100 grams oh he robbed me.
And please answer this.Why did he send back that guys snakes?
A fraud or crook would of just kept them.
