    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Phantom Reptiles / Ray Strickland Bad deal gone worse

Auction Site?

A buddy of mine just said he received an unsolicitated email from a guy named "Ray" in Florida announcing the grand opening of a new animal auction site, www.anibid.com

I dont know if this is the Ray we are speaking about here, but my buddy seems convinced it is and that is the reason he has paid off his fines and trying to clear his name. I tried doing a "whois" lookup to confirm but no info is available yet. No name appears in the "contact" section of the website either.

Maybe someone who is more computer/investigative savy than I can find out more....

perhaps. we got the same spam, multiple times. we posted a thread on it as well....
 
well anibid or whatever seems to be up and running, cause I just went to the site, seems very well done as well. Besides if Ray is the guy doing anibid, who cares its not like you are buying off him directly I think this thread has permanently damaged his name.

As far as my hets go , you were pretty willing to sell them with the original paperwork and a few other animals listed with the same paperwork as well. The original purchaser has already posted to this thread so your dog don't hunt pal.

As far as my buisiness ethics go I've never had a complaint and plan on keeping it that way. Did I forget to put the papers in the box ? Yes. Did I notify you about it? Yes. I had already sent the contact info to you days in advance of shipping and scanned the papers and e-mailed them to you before I sent the hard copies. I also told you there was a thread on here from Troy Cromwell verifying the 2 hets were sold to Greg. I couldn't possibly give you anymore info them than what I had. I represented them honestly and never hid anything from you about them. The only time I mentioned anything about them being 02s was the first phone conversation we had and I told you they were either 01s or 02s and that I would double check it with the paperwork since I didn't have them right in front of me. I;ve also sent more than a few packages out during different times of year and varying weather and never once shipped an animal UPS Ground , in an uninsulated box during cold weather. I've asked previous customers to critique my packing to improve the way my animals were treated during shipping. I've also never shipped snakes through the Post Office nor have I misrepresented any of my animals.

The new owners of the hets never questioned the paperwork since they can read , understand simple english and use common sense. The little black marks on the papers were in the " total " column. The original prices that were paid for them was blacked out by the previous owners.

About all I'm doing now is beating a dead loser. Since you paid your fine I figured you at least deserved us to go at each other one on one. As far as dealing with you I did. You sucked. You posted that employees and family was using your computer.Were they the ones I was supposedly dealing with?
If so , why wasn't you doing the deal? Like I said , there is nothing you can say or do or anyone you bring on here to justify the way you do buisiness.

As far as the rest of the thread goes I see accusations from you about me and my animals but nothing to verify said accusations. No proof from you really doesn't matter. You made one attempt to verify what I sent and now I tried to scam you. Ok , whatever. Didn't stop you from trying to sell them as what they were with a few normals thrown in to match the number on the paperwork.yet you claim I tried to scam you huh? Ok , whatever.

Might want to check my post from the UPS website. The itty bitty box you used weighed just a little shy of 5 pounds. 600 - 700 grams my redneck butt.You might want to tell that to Brian Sharp.He has 2.0 hets , 01s , listed at 800 grams.He might want to know that thats impossible.

I can only understand part of this but I didn't have a problem with the deal until you blew me off for a week and made a claim of the animals being under 700 grams a week after you got them.No proof of that was supplied either like you said you would provide.At that point I pretty much figured you were running a scam to get something for next to nothing. Phonics man , get hooked on phonics.

Were you able to see their DNA with your super power X-ray vision? You already said you made 1 attempt, just 1 to verify them in the time you had them. Not much of a try.

I noticed that under "reptile care" in the topic section of Phantom reptiles.com, there are no discussions going on...wonder why? I've dealt with Ray in the past, and never had any problems, it is sad to see a situation like this develop, because the evidence seems to be weighted in one direction...

I just want to thank Bryon for making this thread, and the person who identified all of Ray Strickland's other log in names.

I had been about to purchase a snake on Reptibid, but then saw the email address was "[email protected]" and remembered this thread.

Just a little side note, if you know of a "bad guy's" multiple log in names, please share them in the thread they are in. It will really help us small timers! :)
 
He may be using another user name now: serpentsden2000. I've told Steve at serpentsden.com about this, and it's NOT him. Grammar is the same within the ads, and real short descriptions with him stating that he will only answer emails directed to [email protected].
I've gotten an email from him, but I don't have the know how to check the IP and cross reference it with the other emails.

I'm not saying it is Ray, but my hunches have been right on the money so far.
