    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Or none of the above.

I like the first background. I like the markers, too, but I'd rather they were next to the leos, rather than beneath them. However, with leos like yours, it is hard to get a bad pic.

out of those three i like the first... but i do not care for it as a whole..... maybe some solid black granite, black marble or ermmm cork bark... something consistantly darker to contrast the gecko and not light to take away or reflect the color on the gecko crap i dont know

I picked Granite too. But I agree with Robin, if you could find a lighter colored granite it would be even better

but not too light.. the light color of the background may reflect on to the gcko making it look lighter than it is... i think some sorta solid dark/darish background... oh man i feel like christopher lowell

I like the granite too out of those 3 but my 5 year old says it looks like it was burned by hot fire lol

I voted granite of the three. Like Robin said I think something like the color of bark would really bring the colors of the geckos out.

LOL :rofl:

I guess I would pick the first one because I like the contrast, but I think some sort of bark would work well too. A little more ambient light would help intensify the contrast of the gecko vs. the background too - not that you were asking about the lighting :raspberry

Now that you're done photographing the leo you probably need to find a home for him, huh? :hehe:

I picked the second one..

I picked the second one because is seems to show the colors better with the lighter more unstructured background.

Marble

I prefer the marble backgound, the gecko just stand out more on the lighter background than on the darker ones.
