    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi all just wanted to steer everyone away from this seller. He is on reptibid. Here is what happened with my bid.

Around June 27 I was surfing through reptibid and came across an ad for a trio of ball pythons it was $60.00 shipped he had 100 trios available according to the ad. I searched the BOI for any info on the seller, but stupid me, I didn't start a thread about him asking for any info (at least I don't think I did, duh). So I decided to go ahead and purchase, I liked the look of the colors he had available 'for sale'. So, on July 1 I sent him a postal money order in the agreeded upon amount. On july 4 the auction was over, but the item DID NOT appear in my auctions won area on reptibid, I started to get concerned. So I sent him an email asking what was up? He replied that he had relisted the remaining trios and would ship as soon as ALL money was received. At this same time he tells me he hasn't received my MO which was understandable since it was a holiday. By July 13 he was saying he still hadn't received a MO from me, which I know to be untrue as I sent the MO priority mail on the same day as I purchased it and even with the holiday the post office assured me it was delivered by that following Tuesday July 8. On July 19 he sends me another email saying he finally received my MO and that he would ship as soon as the 'other' auction was over. This was only after I sent him several emails asking what was going on. By July 23 I was so fed up I asked for my money back OR the snakes shipped ASAP. In response he sent me an email saying 'that all of the ball pythons that he had sold/had for sale on the auction site had died, that he had gotten a bad batch from his breeder, he then stated that all money would be refunded by no later than August 4th (today). I sent him another email with my mailing address to make sure the refund went to the right place on the same day. Since then I have heard nothing from him. I have emailed him twice in the last few days, to see where he was at with the refunds and gotten NO RESPONSE at all.
I need to know if I have any recourse to get my money back since I still have not received a refund from him. This persons screenname is Pickapet. I sent the money order to Juan Hernandez in Chicago IL. Again it was a Postal money order, I have heard that they are insured against fraud, is this a true statement? Please let me know what I can do about this man, I hate being burned.....Thanks everyone.
 
I might interpret the "refund by Aug. 4th" as meaning that he would SEND the refund by that date. I would wait a while before being sure he hasn't sent it.

I'm not trying to side with the seller, as there appears to be a few issues as to reliability and communication. I used to do auctions (non-live items) and I would ship as soon as the money was received. If I were to be auctioning off my snakes I would state clearly, probably, that all funds received in the mail by, say, Tuesday, would then be shipped on a Wednesday. I can see not mailing except for one day of the week when doing volume auctions AND the necessity to make sure all is right with the animals.

If there's one thing I've learned on the BOI it's that a good seller has a good handle on COMMUNICATION.

Do the the post office and get the forms to fel out for Mail Fraud.Or you can go online and print them.I have donr this and it worked for me.It took several months to get my refund but it did work.And you will have to call the Postal service pretty regular to let them know that you are serious about getting your refund.That is once you turn in the mail fraud form.here are some links..

Just print that fill it out and print off all your emails to attach to it and save copies for yourself..

Hello all,

Just thought I would let you know, It is August the 14th today and still no refund in sight....I have taken the forms to the USPS to take action and I have been contacted by reptibid--finally after more than a month of reporting this seller. I will keep you posted on what happens. Thanks for letting me vent.

i to was ripped off along with several others in our case it was 216 burms i myself purchased 4 ive sent several emails but no reply one of my emails was a threat but still no reply the person i delt with was julissa flores so i am in the process of filing fruad complaint with the ifcc and the fbi will try to keep you post with any developments

Well im glad i changed my mind on that and desided to go with just buying something at the Dallas show.
I was sent a email after i placed a bid on the BP's telling me to send payment to them and I wanted to wait untill the show to see what they had.
I also got a email from another bidder asking if i heard from them because they wouldnt respond after getting payment.

I got an email from him/her/them last week that said they/he/she would start sending out refunds, as of yet I still have not received my refund. And my emails are no longer being answered. I hava filled out all appropreiate paperwork with the USPS (as I sent a postal money order) and the USPS has said that, yes, my money order has been cashed, they will send me a refund out which can take up to 10++++weeks, since it is the government....;) . Anyway, just thought I would keep you updated...Thanks for all of your advice and comments.
