    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

This is a picture of my first gecko I ever hatched. He hatched in 1999 from my first HY pair. Incubated him in a deli cup, in sand, on the warm side of his parents enclosure. Talk about a newbie move. I have moved on over the years and have a small to medium collection with real nice geckos and now have 2 incubators and a hatchling rack. Boy how times have changed. But this big guy is what addicted me to reptiles.
Just wondering if any of you guys still have your first hatched or any photos of your older geckos. If so please show them off.
Thanks
Joyce

He looks nice! I think all of us started out with setups like that. I had a ton of tank and my first rack barely stayed together. I’ve come a long way since then. Unfortunately I sold my first hatchling. :( I don’t know what I was thinking but I kick myself now. I do however have the 2nd hatchling.

I started my hobby by building a tank originally for a Praying Mantis, i spotted some green anoles in my local herp shop and decided to research them. After researching i decided to tear down my tank and build an 80gallon in my cupboard for the green's. After keeping them for a year i decided i wanted something i could handle. I bought a male leo and about a month after a female. Since then i have bought 2 other females which are just stunning, i have 3 tanks and a rack that holds 3 tubs (only small for my small room:( )
