    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

So I picked up a new camera & been playing around with it. It's a Canon PowerShot SX500 IS, not the most expensive around but it seems good enough for what I need it for. I still have a lot to figure out but figured I might as well post some of the pictures so far.

Great shots, and some good looking models. I've had a couple powershots and loved them.

Great shots, Chris -- good camera choice!

What are they on for substrate, BTW?

Carpet, I know it's weird. I have a thing about substrate & spot cleaning. I see nothing wrong with it but cant do it myself. For some reason I have to change it all out, even if just a little water spills or it will drive me nuts. It took forever to get it all out & was just a pain, dust & everything, especially with these heavy enclosures. I first tried carpet a while back because paper alone was allowing to much heat from the UTH. I thought it looked better & gave the snakes more traction. It was easier for me to find out if someone pooped or if there is anything in there that shouldn't be too. It just worked for me & was really easy to replace. I just pull it out, throw it in the trash, scrub the down with f10 solution or healthy habitat, slap a new piece in & I'm good to go. I usually can buy a 8x10 foot slab for like 20 bucks & made a template that's exactly half the size of my cage to use when cutting it. I'm able to get about 16 halves, which usually last about a month since I only got 3 snakes.

great shots Chris, beautiful boas. Those crazy eye spots on the hypo are so pretty
