    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Please help me to oppose Va bill sb477 that would effectively ban all exotics (no matter how small and safe) from Va. also includes most types of constrictor snakes (again regardless of how small). This is a knee jerk reaction to what happened in Ohio with the in sane person who killed himself. Va already had on the books laws prohibiting lions/tigers/bears and other predators that really could be deemed dangerous,but this new bill just goes too far and punishes everyone. There is a 1000 to 1 ratio in Va of exotic vs dog injuries/fatalities but the state isnt banning dogs (yet anyway). So please contact the senators listed below before 5 pm today! To show your strong opposition to this ludicrous infringement on our rites!!

usark is going to be a little busy today im sure. your best bet is to contact an attorney and have them make a call to get all the information on the bill sent to their office to look over and have the attorney let them know that you will most likely be filing a suit against them. you want to do this and you want to get as may people you can to do this. let them know if they pass the legislation they will be heading to court for doing so.

I strongly encourage any animal enthusiast in VA to use this site to find your delegate and senator. Contact them and ask them to oppose SB 477 and HB 1242. Even if the animals you like are not affected in these bills, this is not the endpoint. If we give up venomous and constrictors now, in a couple months they will go after your dogs, cats, and horses.

Update!!! HB 1242 has been referred to Committee on Agriculture, Chesapeake and Natural Resources. Here is a list of who is on the committee and contact info. Please start making phone calls, sending mails, mailing letters, and blowing up fax machines in opposition to HB 1242. Be sure to call, email, and fax more than once, everyday if you can.
