    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

please help me

i have a femmel that is about 2 weeks pregnant, yesterday she was ok , but today a notice that her tail is getting thiny and she does not whant to eat,what should i do? please help me

she's prolly about to lay, mine don't want anything for a few days before laying, just stuff her afterwards, she'll be hungry enough then

What kind of supplements are you giving her? You may need to up them.

Some females don't handle being a breeder very well. I have one girl that didn't do all that great this season. It was her first year and she laid five clutches and went from 55 to 40 by the end, and her tail got thin. She just laid her last clutch a little over a week ago and is already back up to 49. She just didn't want to eat at all during the whole time she was laying. I'll try to breed her again next year, but hopefully she'll be closer to 65 before she starts to ovulate, and will handle it much better.

thanks forthe advaice , but you know what....i did not weight her before,i don't know how much she weight i know that was a big mistake ,what sould i do now?

here she is

maru23, you don't need a scale to give good care to your leo. Females tend to go off feed for the last week before they lay. Those eggs can take a lot out of the female and that's why her tail is skinny now. Once she lays she will look REALLY skinny. Not to worry however, she will be ravenous and as long as you have a good supply of gut loaded feeder insects and let her eat as much as she'll take for some weeks after she's laid, she'll big and tail fat in no time. And she'll probably lay another clutch of eggs anywhere from 2-5 weeks after she lays these.

Now a few questions for you. Do you have a proper place for her to lay her eggs? Do you know how to incubate them? Do you supplement with calcium and other vitamins?

yes i bought an hovabator incubator las week, and another tank and everything i'll need for the babys, and i dust her food with calcium and d3, is that ok? or what else i need to do?

Well, there's an on-going debate about the need for D3 supplementation for nocturnal animals, but this is not the time or place.

As long as you use calcium supplement and occasionally some herpavite during the feedings they should be in top health. I make sure that my geckos get the best quality of feeders by purchasing crickets in bulk and supplying them with a nutritious diet before they get fed to my geckos. I've had skinny post-lay geckos put on some serious weight in a matter of days if you just feed them quality food daily and let them eat until they are full.

Nice geckos. Can't tell from this pic, but she doesn't look too thin. They put the weight back on fast if fed well.
