    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Please I need help in the practical side of setting up a group or website. Not a huge honking site like Fauna but a teeny site for nice sweet nurses like me. But, I do not know the technical ins and outs and would really REALLY like some experiences, hints, or what have you.

I have already set up a little Yahoo group, and not really sure of all the options and of how everything works and have not populated it yet, it will be by invite only as I do not want spam. But when I set it up, there was a Yahoo ad that I could pay so much a month and have a little site.

This is VERY important to me and I would appreciate any ideas, help, experiences, warnings of possible downsides, etc.
 
What are you looking to do with your site Lucille? If you are looking to have a small php based discussion group/forum I could help you with that.
 
I do not know what a php is (in fact I am definitely technology impaired when it comes to anything having to do with computers) but I would *much* appreciate your help, and the help of anyone who has such experience.

I want a discussion group for school nurses to be able to talk about various issues like immunizations, diabetes care, resources for low cost medical care and eyeglasses and the like; but it would be nice to have the discussions on different forums like here (but only around 6 or 8 forums, not zillions like Fauna has) instead of one group discussion.
