. Rich, those are words which I'm undeserving of. I just want to say that I'm not one of those obnoxiously humble people...heck, If I feel that I deserve the credit then you wont even have to give it to me...I'll take it
. So the following is me being honest, not humble.
The reason things have been smooth in the classifieds is because of all the unconditional support I've received from both members and moderators alike. Dennis, Clay & Harald have helped me a bunch. Clay was helping me even prior to me becoming a mod. While I was reporting posts he helped me grasp the full name/complete location policy by further elaborating upon it. By doing that he gave me a HUGE head start. Harald, man...I'm surprised he hasn't banned me for PM abuse by filling up his inbox, lol. The guy has the patience of a saint and goes out of his way to help out when needed.
Then you have the members. The Pic Ninja (TheFragginDragon)...if a pic looks too good to be true, I'll send him the ad. Next thing I know the guy is making his inquiries, researching, etc... Sometimes he uncovers an infringer, other times it turns out to be something benign...but EACH and EVERY time, hes on it! That's not even mentioning all the infringers he has been tracking down for years. Then you have Sensei (DAND)...out of the blue he sends me unsolicited advice & pep talks. He's helped me more than I think he realizes (he was part of the WS mod program and he knows his stuff!). Then you have Shadiiiiiiiiiii (MagikalMorphs). Most recently she helped enlighten us about someone on the BOI. She wanted me to look into something and she would not drop it (I say that with love
). So I decided to go ahead and check out the deleted ads for her....sure enough, she was dead on. We found some skeletons in there which otherwise might have been overlooked. Of course you cant forget about pookie (Shinezilla)...shes all over the place. From helping with finding "suspicious pictures" to forward onto John, or PM'ing me when she notices ad(s) getting out of control (yup, I'm throwing you under the buss Sunshine...shes a narc everyone). There are MANY others who help as well.
My point is, it takes a village to oversee the classifieds, and YOU guys did much of the legwork. I'm just the middle man. Since I've been "behind the scenes" I've seen first hand how many people have this sites best interests in mind...and it's a VERY nice thing to see
. So please, continue giving FC your support and I'll try my best not to disappoint.
