• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I've tried addressing this issue in various and sundry ways, trying to see what seems to be a good fit for this site. Kind of difficult when I have the naturally heated conflicts in the BOI, and the apparently encouraged ringside seat arrangement of the HELL forum for such head to head combats. But quite frankly, I just don't give a crap about those kinds of issues, and as it really has nothing at all to do with why this site is here, then I would just as soon not have it here wasting server space. I believe it is detrimental to the overall appearance this site gives to the public at large, and quite frankly, I'm leaning more and more all the time to just making this site what I want it to be, regardless of what anyone else thinks about it. I may ask for opinions now and again, but when it comes down to the bottom line, it's my name on the door, and I'm the one to catch the flak about what the public thinks about what I am allowing to take place here.

I realize things will get kind of heated between opposing parties in issues on the BOI, and I am willing to tolerate the conflicts in that sense, but the PERSONAL crap is really not my concern nor the purpose of this site. If you can't get your feelings across privately then that is just tough for you. The public (which includes me) just doesn't care about it, nor want it HERE>

So, that's enough, please. This industry has enough issues to have to try to deal with without people looking like flaming monkey assholes flinging poo at each other in public.
