Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

So I ordered new bulbs from LLLreptile.com, and got them in a few days after ordering them along with some supers. Supers came in great health, and size. So did the bulbs, but to my surprise they were still in the older style T12.

So I called in last week 9-12-09, and talked to a man there that told me they would work on the situation, and give me a call back. So I waited patiently and decided to call back in today thinking 1 week i sample time to reach back to someone. I talked to a woman on the phone I expressed what had happened, and she said

"Sure we will swap them out all you have to do is send them back to us."
I asked "How do you want me to send them back to you. Are you going to send me a RMA package, or a box to return them in?"
"No you will have to pay to send them back as this was not an issue on our side." she said
"What do you mean not an issue on your side? It wasnt advertised thatthe bulbs were a mix of both T12/T8 , and it doesnt even say on thepage what tube size these even are!?" I replied
"Im sorry, but if you needed a specific size you should have put it in your comment." her again
I respond "I worked at petland a few months ago, and we had stopped selling bulbs/structures in the T12 size last winter. All of our reps said they T12's were no longer going to be manufactured. So how would I know with out some type of disclaimer, or full description of the product?"
"Well you should have called us prior to buying them. We are just a small chain and cant get new product like petland" her response
"My issue is not that the product is old its the fact I'm going to have to pay to ship this back to you across the country. It would be your fault because of the lack in some type of disclaimer, or product choice since these bulbs are considered outdated by the current technology,and are no longer in production" My response

Ok enough is enough I think you get the Idea. Fact of the issue at handis AT NO LOCATION ON THEIR SITE does it even say T sizes, or say if youneed a specific size please specify. Common knowledge is that these bulbs are no longer being made, and I get shafted ~20$ to return anitem that apparently was my fault for ordering, and not specifying dont give me a bulb that has been sitting around for months that wont fit new canopy styles. The entire situation has me very aggravated, and I will not be using LLL ever again. Its a shame too because their superworms were very nice.

My advice if you decide to purchase from them CALL before you order ANYTHING, and make sure to get a 100% detailed description/Compatibility explanation to you since they DO NOT honor their websites info, and will place the blame on the buyer.

I am not saying I hate LLL, or do not buy from them I am saying CALL before you do, and let this go to show not all experiences are good ones, and fact there might be more than just 1.

I AM saying I will NOT be using them ever again. I have been in retail for a while, and with many different types of it. So to see this lack of accountability just really irks me. I will not release the womans name over the phone as she is just a manager not the owner

wasnt sure if you wanted me to post them since they are rather large. Did that so you could see better that i didnt tamper with them, but its purpose is to show that they do not tell you anything about the bulbs so you can only go off of current industry standard. Also notice it does not say you need to tell us what you want, nor does it give you a choice to choose between T12, or T8. Zoomed boxes are identical to the old boxes, and none of them specify the Tube sizes. Can post pictures of boxes if need be.
 
sorry to hear you bad experience with them. i ordered 6 vision 632 cages off them a few months back. it took over a month to get them but i was jumping for joy when they came. hope you get everything worked out.
 
Did you get your fluorescent fixtures from LLL Reptile?
The description says the bulb will fit THEIR standard fluorescent fixture. Perhaps their fixture is not the same as yours but it doesn't say in the ad that it will fit any other particular brand.

As for my dealings with LLL Reptile I have had several. Most recently I purchased several Vision cages from then. Received them within a week however one had slight damage to the aluminum glass channel. When I called them to notify them of this and get a return authorization they instead refunded my money within an hour and told me to keep the cage.
I will gladly do business with them again and would have no problem recommending them.

Sorry for your troubles and hope it gets resolved to your satisfaction.
 
I have sold clutches of snakes to LLLreptile a few times and had nothing but good luck. they send the check out the day they get them. I will always call them first!
 
I have ordered both live animals (millipedes) and feeders from LLL. All has arrived in good condition and without a long wait, I have not had any issues with them in that way. I have not done so in more than a couple years though. I have however (in the last year) made several trips to both of their store locations in California. I cannot say anything bad about this either, except that service can be rather difficult to find at times. Certain employees seem to occasionally take on too much at once and not be able to keep up... So, I would recommend the same: call first.

boo on triple LLL I have been top their stores and to the untrained eye it is cool, but for some like myself that knows reptiles a lot of their animals are sick and not cared for properly
