• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

We have raised this boa pair since they were born. They are now ready to breed but because of health problems we are forced to sell them. The female is an '08 and the male is her full brother from a different litter. They were born to Sunset parents and she is amazing. She changes colors and has a encondessent emerald green hew. The color change seems to happen without correlation to temperature or light issues. The two photos attached of her are the same snake, one taken about 10am and the other just after lunch the same day. Neither of these photo have been changed in any way but are what they are. The male is a beautiful Emerald line sunset and shares the same genetics as the female. They both have a gorgeous purple tongue so hopefully if and when they reproduce, the should prove out. We have held back this pair till the last but really feel someone else should be better able to care for them. Please contact us if you are seriously interested in this project and we will be happy to give you further details. Make an offer and we will consider every reasonable one.

Note: Photos below are of the SAME female I will take separate photos for those seriously interested of the male.

This his likely caused by the same gene or gene complex that causes lightening and darkening with photoperiod in Hog Islands. As you say, they were born to Sunset parents but are not hypo, thus this is the most likely cause.

Thanks Warren but the photos are of the FEMALE only!!! She is the only one in three litters from the same parents to show such aspects. The male is hypo and a beautiful normal emerald line sunset as were his parents. The only reason he was chosen as a possible carrier of the same genetics was that he also has the 'purple' tongue that the female possesses! We have kept and bred Hog Island boas for years and love them and do know that they tend to change hue a bit but nothing like this female. She is truly one of a kind and the emerald hue she has in sunlight is absolutely beautiful especially after she sheds.

Again, the male brother is a true sunset hypo unlike his sister! I couldn't get a good photo of him to show as he is in shed but can take more later. These photos will hopefully give a good example of what he is.
