I want to start by saying that I have been using this website for many, many years. (User name GradyJ) I actually preferred it over kinsnake.com and morphmarket. As soon as I knew you required payment for ads, I did it. I actually used to get as many hits from fauna as I did from the other two. I liked opening up the site and landing on a page that had all of the most recent animals listed. I literally opened it every day. Now it seems that wherever I go I have to page through the bold red scolding of how bad people who don't pay are. This is a real negative for me and, I'd imagine, many of the other who are looking to buy or sell or look. Its hard to say this without offending, but people don't really care how frustrated you are. There are more and more options available to both sellers and buyers so the key to maintaining a viable product is customer service. This doesn't mean free. The terms of what is required to be a seller should be made clear ONLY when someone looks to place an ad. There doesn't need to be a description as to why you need to pay but, if there is, it shouldn't be because "you don't understand how hard this is and people who don't pay suck!" If you have a website that people like and it works, they will continue to pay to use it. If I was a buyer, new to the site, and had to scroll through all of the negativity each time I wanted to look, I'd quit using the site. I can definitely say that the number of inquiries I get from Fauna since these changes started, and when I started paying, has gone down to almost zero. I don't mind paying the relatively higher advertising fees for MorphMarket because it works. I used to pay for Kingsnake.com but that website also went down the tubes. (The only animals listed currently are ball pythons.) I will gladly continue to pay for advertising here, maybe even increased rates, but it has to work and the Red Intro Rant needs to go.

Grady
