In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi, all I have been around here for a while but am pretty quiet most of the time. But I really need everyones prayers at this time.
My three year old has been in the hospital since last thursday. He has been vomiting and lathargic, it seems every time we get a light at the end of the tunnel and he then begins to vomit again and the lethargy sets in again.
So far he has only kept down a few ounces of pedilite. All the blood work is coming back negitive. So the Docs have no answers at this time.
Hopefully now that it is Monday they will do a bit more than maintain
him and do some more indepth studies. His Daddy is going to be with him today as I have to go to work. Dad has been out of work for a few months so I really Have to go to work.
Please send all of your prayers toward Westley, he is the most beautiful, inside and out little boy on earth. Thank you, Ginger Ambrose

Ginger,
I will be thinking and praying for you and your child Westley, and that you are able to get some rest and relief from this terrible ordeal. There are very few experiences worse than the grave illness of a child, and I pray he recovers soon.
Take care and update us when you can.

Please know, Ginger, that you and yours are in my thoughts and prayers.

Ginger,

I don't not have any children, but I can understand the pain you are going through. It is horrible to watch a loved one suffer and not be able to do anything to stop it..

Little Westley will be in my prayers tonight.
Please keep us updated.
Michele

Westley, Update

He has kept down jello now whooooooooooo.
Still not on any real food but it is a step toward that.
They will try pureed fruit today. Dad is back on duty now.
I have to go to work. I will update you all probably tomorrow.
I work till 6pm and then I take over at the hospital.
Of course maybe I will be home tonight (wishful thinking).
They have still done no test other than blood work that has all
come back negitive. The Doctor did not see him yesterday until,
6:00pm, and then just said "lets give him jello".
Sometimes you just want to scream.

Thanks to all of you, it helps to know others are thinking of him
as well.

Yikes, that is pretty frustrating!

Maybe Dad can advise the nurse that he'd like a meeting with the dr. when he does rounds today? I would definitely want to know what the plan is for additional tests, or if they are simply going to treat the symptoms and take a wait and see approach.

Jello is a good start, even if it doesn't seem encouraging. Once he's holding down a bit more food, ask your doc about getting some probiotics into him to help replenish his gut flora.

Thanks, Terese. I will tell his Dad that when I call and check on them.
I only call 20 times a day. LOL My husband is a super father but to have to spend
10 hours with a teathered 3 year old is a lot for him. I breeze through it but "daddy"
has a bit of trouble, dealing with him. I keep telling him "you can handle it"
But West, not being able to get up and go is a tough situation. That IV is a demon
as far as West, is concerned.
I am, praying for a vomit free day, and hopefully they will give us our baby back and we can take him to his peditrician to get to the bottom of this situation.
It is just very frustrating.
Once again THANKS EVERYONE.

Ginger

Ginger, I am so sorry you are going through this but am glad to see there has been some small improvement. I hope everything goes better each day and that youc an bring him home soon!

We will keep you and your family in our thoughts!

Ginger,

I hope the doctor finds the cause of his nausea/vomiting & fatigue. I know it must be hard, especially when you don't know what's going on inside a loved one. Along with the jello, I think the pedialyte popcicles might help - those and just regular popsicles - those seem to help sometimes. Maybe he has the stomach flu (vomiting -> fatigue)? ear infection (nausea -> vomiting & fatigue)? Just thinking of some things that can cause Vomiting & Fatigue for you to bring up to the Doc :p

I will certainly keep your family in my prayers and I will be checking up this thread often to make sure everything's going well. Take care and give your son a bigggg hug for me :D

Westley is HOME

Thanks for all the prayers and good wishes.
Westley was released this morning, it seems he has
a fructose and lactose intolerance. No milk products, or fruit juices.
We will take his diet slowly back to close to normal.
He is him old self, almost ALL BOY LOL !
He seems to have recovered pretty quickly, once we figured out what was causing the whole thing. He ate hotdogs last night, and that was the clincher
the Doc's figured if he could eat those and and keep them down he was good to go home.
But they say he cannot have them very often because the fats in them
being hard for his system, to break down. All in all it seems his system is having some difficulty breaking down certain foods.

I am so happy, to have him home, now on to the next stage of his full recovery.
Thanks Again, Ginger

Ginger, I am so relieved and happy to know that he is home and back to himself! Thank God it wasn't something more serious... hopefully you and your husband can get a good night's sleep now.

I am very happy to hear the good news. I can relate to a child having dificulties with certain foods. My 19 month old son is allergic to milk. Breaks out in hives. Again, glad that all is well.
