    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Paul i have some bad news i had a big problem with part of my climate control system in of of my snake rooms and i unfortionatly lost 6 snakes due to the heat and your lab was one of them plus a couple retics and boas so needless to say im not in the best of moods right now because the snakes i lost happen to be the ones that were all sold and now i have to some how come up with a way to take care of everybody that was the room i keep my reptiles that are going out to be shipped so anyways here is the deal i can either give you your money back or put it down towards thr female granite if you want her and we can call it even and i will send you her to replace the lab let me know what you want to do if that works for you send me you info and nearest airport and i will get this granite out to you as soon as the check arrives im very sorry for this i did not know this was going to happen i tell you if it was not for bad luck i would not have any luck at all let me know what you decide thanks Pete


so i agreed to send the granite female and remaining $80 cash owed.

I recieved the snake threw delta and when i opened the box there was no cash refund and the snake was covered in mites :angry: I called Pete from the airport and this 9FT granite female turned out to be just pushing 7ft. once inspecting her better she has a real nice scar on her side 3 inches or so long and a inch wide. i was really mad when i recieved this snake and i called pete and told him all the problems and i said i dont want $80 i want $200 back. so the price woould of been $450 shipped and i think thats more then fair for this size granite burm.

a week passes and he sends me a paypal for $80. i asked him when should i expect the remaining $120. he said its will take some time. times are tough right now so i gave him some time. its been 2 months now and no cash yet. he is posting on the fourms he wants to buy animals from people but cant square up with me???


here is some pics. she was so small i put her in a 75 gal tank.

Your seller lost a bunch of snakes. According to the link you provided you two were talking about him holding the snake with a deposit, which a lot of sellers don't do.
I took a quick look at threads about your seller and it seems like there are some good things said.
Did you suggest the price drop or did he, and if you did, did he agree? Do you have emails of the agreement?


Did you let him know about the thread?
 
I am curious. The retic was $650 and the burm was $500, why did you accept only $80? The price difference would have been $150. Was shipping included with the $650 retic? If so, I think he should have honored that with the burm and refunded you the $150
 
most of it was done over the phone. your missing the point here. 9ft turned into just pushing the 7ft mark. after recieving the $80 $570 for a 7ft granite burm.. thats crazy and i told him there was tons of them on the fourms a hell of alot cheaper.. mite infested and with a nice scar. i been patiant and 2 months to repay the remaining moneys owed is more then fair.
 
please post all emails and refer him to this thread as well, If what you're saying is true then you definitely deserve to be reimbursed.
 
yes he was notified. The only emails i have are just asking if he recieved my money order. once snake was shipped we did everything over the phone.

It would be really good to hear the seller's input about this deal since so much of it was verbal. Did you yourself decide on the price drop and resulting selling price for this snake or was it a mutual agreement between you and the seller? Did the seller offer to tale the snake back once you voiced your dissatisfaction?

I am not missing the point at all. You agreed to an $80 difference rather than the $150, in your own words "thats crazy". I only asked about one part of the transaction. If you want to talk about a smaller than expected size, some people measure shed rather than snake and come up with a larger than actual size. Mites, well that just sucks.

Since we are talking about bad husbandry how about explaining why you have a burn in a tank far too small for its size. The one below the granite, I am sure cage injury would happen rather easily for a snake that size in a tank that small:

That snake was not mine and i had it here for 2 days. that black cage was for the granite orginally and that pic is 2 months old.
 
is everyone missing the point here? I was expecting a 9ft female for breeding. not 7ft and pete did offer a refund of the $650 but he didnt have the cash. he spent it so i waited 2 week for $80 and now 2 months go buy and no remaing ballence of $120. he said it was cool but it would take some time due to he was having cash problems then. when i ask when he is going to send it he says he dont have it yet. ok fine how about some payments then? im not trying to bash pete in anyway i believe he is a good person thats just down on his luck. i just want the money owed back to me. if it was breeding size then no problem on the orginal price but it was just a big let down.

Thats a good point. If that snake is infested with mites why are you exposing your friends snake as well as the albino below it to mites?
It appears that both snakes below the one in question are in very crampt living quarters.
Does your friend know you exposed his snake or snakes to mites?

There sure is an albino, all next to the rack on the left.

Mites can travel 12 feet in an hour, lay up to 24 eggs at one time, hatch within 1-4 days, with a life span of about 19 to 40 days all depending on temperature. Amazing what one could learn. This world is full of all sorts of wonder.

No. We're not missing the point. You say here that you want a breeder yet you obsess on a small healed scar that will in no way affect her progeny.

As far as 9 feet, if you will look at the second picture of the 3 you posted. A 75 gallon tank is 18 inches deep. Using that as your measurer, if you count up the folds of the snake and add up the additional horizontal lengths it sure looks at least 8 feet; so he might have been under a bit but it is over you estimate so just trash that argument.

You stick a snake you say (but I do not believe) came in with mites into what I hope is your quarantine room, exposing all the snakes there.

Who knows where your mites came from if you have them, you've been buying up a LOT of snakes (hope they are in more appropriate enclosures than this one is) Here is where you listed your reptiles recently in another thread:

Your seller here held your snake with out demanding full payment, which is a real favor. Tragedy struck and he lost a bunch of snakes including yours. He was man enough to immediately offer a replacement or refund, you chose a replacement and cash. You offer no proof of a further drop in price and refuse to even say whether it was an agreement between you and the seller or just something you came up with.

You haven't answered yet whether the price drop was your idea only, but it seems to me that you got what you paid for, if that snake is under 9 it doesn't appear to be by much, but you decided to try to trash someone who has a good rep and who gave you a choice and the reasons you gave were not sufficient, IMHO. A healed scar? So what, in a breeder? A bit under 9? Not enough to cause all this fuss. And mites? That is a laugh because if you cared you wouldn't expose the rest of your snakes.

Jeez. Your seller doesn't deserve this thread, he deserves a medal just for having you as a customer.

Okay, I have a question, if she is so small (pushing 7 feet I believe you said) that you had to put her in a 75 gallon tank, then why do you have 10 ft plus burms in the lower enclosures which appear to have the same amount of floor space?

Oh, and you may want to do something about the condensation in your friend's burm's enclosure if you haven't done so yet.

me to but i guess i found one. Mites ummm lets see i had to go buy a can of black knight might spray. yes that is the quarenteen room and them black cages are alot bigger then a 75 gal tank. they are 4x3x15 high. once again them pics are 2 months old and no one is bashing pete at all. and once again PHONE PHONE PHONE....

how would you guys like it if some one said hey i will make it wright with you when i get some cash. they you see them posting hey i want to buy your snake???? Payments ummmm lets see tons of people do it and if you been trying to sell a snake for a good while and someone says hey i will send $200 and next week the remaining cash you all would jump on it. my hypo im waiting on i paid $1650 for it and it took 3 payments.


The BOI is to help people out and i guess i just got screwed and you people are helping him out every way possable. No one said he was bad but if you were in my shoes you would be pissed to. hmmmm $570 for a snake worth $300 I never screwed anyone over and been one the fourms for years but i guess its ok it happend to me.
