    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Pretty sure I've read this somewhere but can't remember where (incubating question)

So, this is going to be my second year breeding leopard geckos, last year I only had 6 eggs but still had 100% hatch rate and all of the babies turned out great.
This year I already have 7 eggs with a few more probably on the way.
So, here's my question, I know people always say " place the eggs in the incubator in the exact position they were laid in." But isn't it also a rule to make sure the "ring" of veins is at the top of the egg (When you place it in the incubator)? The ring I am referring to is how you tell the eggs are fertilized when I candle them right away. I think it is the blastula or something (probably wrong). I definitely can tell the difference between a fertile and nonfertile egg, so I'm not worried about that (even though I incubate the nonfertile ones anyway...just in case).
I'm sure someone here knows what I'm talking about...

I've actually heard that you can turn the eggs however you want until they're 14 or 15 days old. I may be wrong, but ts when the embryo starts to attach itself.
My cat knocked over my container of 15 MHD eggs on their 14th day. Twelve are still alive and they rolled all over the floor.
