In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

If someone were to produce a healthy and active albino bearded dragon, how much would you be willing to pay for it?

It would be such a rarity to have . . .!!!

Well, considering hets aren't even currently available at this time...I'd expect the price tag to be over $1000. Would I pay it? No. I think their are a lot of different Beardie variations (at a lower price) that look much nicer then an Albino. Given the opportunity at a decent price, I wouldn't mind adding one or two to my collection.

I would also estimate the price to be over $1,000 No way I would pay that much for an albino. (I think they are creepy looking) If the price was around $300 I would probably get 1 or 2 but not anymore than that.

Hmmm... $1000. for a visual albino beardie?
*raises hand*
Oooooh! I would.

Like Steph said, hets arent even available on the market. (Plus, any person offering hets would have to have a stellar reputation - since a huge amount of trust is involved with a trait that's not visual.)

The albino pictures on our web site are all from a gentleman who produced them in Australia - and therefore "Taboo". Someone else has produced them in the USA, but the breeder's information is undisclosed.

Sooo... Albinos are a currently unavailable, simple recessive morph, that can be out-crossed and reproduced in 3-4 years.
Ya bet your butt Id shell out $1000. for one! heheh...

I wouldnt have a choice, I would have to do it. I have blown a $1000 on worst, who hasnt. I would be on here everyday posting pictures and would feel like the kid on the block with the new bike.lol Its just too bad I dont have the connections, if your not in the loop it might be 5-10 years before you can get your hands on one.

I agree with Vicky on this. You would be EXTREMELY lucky if you would be the first to get one at $1000. Think of the ball python morphs that came out such as piebald and albino. The piebalds were doing like $30,000 for the first ones and I can imagine that's what a healthy albino bearded dragon could easily do. And the scary thing is someone out there would have enough money to buy it. It would take about 5-7 years for them to even come down enought for the avearge person to buy them.

If they weren't so creepy looking. :hehe:

I don't like albino anything so it would be hard for me to purchase one. If the price was right I would be tempted, but still............

I wonder how sensitive they are to the high uv lighting. I had to take care of this guys albino nile, and he was pretty sensitive. Too much can blister them. Josh

Isn't that why the ones that were supposedly born in the USA died? Because they were super sensitive to everything? I heard it was also because they had thin skin. But I don't know how true that is . . .

Hmmm... dunno about the lighting. I would imagine that they would be sensitive to the high-output UVB bulbs. They DO come with a warning on the box!
