I purchased a few pygmy chameleons to add to my breeding stock. I picked them up in person.

He has a very clean house and the animals that I did see ( few, and I assumed they were all personal pets ) were in great health and had proper setups.

I will definitely do business with them again.

Are you sure this is the same person that Lucille is inquiring about? The website had the following info:

That sounds like a store front to me and not a place of residence.

Also you say there were few animals that you did see, but the website shows a lot more than just a few animals available for sale.

yes, it is.

I saw the website, inquired about purchasing some animals, purchased and picked up in person.

It is a residence. He has a few reptiles that he keeps but most, from what I understand, he orders in.

the photos of the animals he has on his website are what he can get in, i believe. I dont think that he has each animal that is on that website in his care currently.

He was a very friendly guy.

I noticed the same thing, Steve. All the photos (or at least the greater majority) appear to have been "borrowed". He also has hots listed - Spitting, Boomslang, Mamba, Eyelash.

The only reason I asked for the guy's name is because I recall a case 3-4 years ago where Idaho Fish & Game busted some people in the Treasure Valley area in a large illegal herp-selling operation that included hots and illegally collected specimens.

That said, I am in NO way intimating that PrimEval Pets is in possession of or is collecting, solicitating or selling illegally obtained/imported reptiles or is in any way connected with anyone involved in the bust I recall. Let me be clear that I am NOT trying to tie PrivEval in with anything that could be construed as felonious.

I only vaguely remembered the case and will try to verify it.

Wow, Its good to see others asking questions about sites like I do. I saw everyones posts on this company primevalpets.com....I just completed my own transaction with this company. I also selected local picked up of my reptiles. They were in great shape and are doing wonderful. The guy that owns it doesnt have a store front and from what I saw is not hording reptiles in any way. He had a couple leopard geckos and a beardie that looked very healthy if you ask me, and they were for him and his families enjoyment. The reptiles he sells come from his wholesaler (which I would love to find out who they are) and are shipped directly to his customers. Unless you live around here and he gives the option of local pick up.

Personally I will do business with again and recommend to my friends also.

oh and a side note...who cares if the pics on his site are "borrowed" as long as they arent copywritten, which none are that i can tell....that business owner should be flattered to have another website using the same pics. ***copying is the best form of flattering*** Just my opinion.

Looks an awful lot like so many posts people make under fake names to post positive things about themselves....but, barring any real information on who is behind Primeval, I can't confirm that. I can, however, state that 2 accounts were registered from that same IP address this morning...with 2 different names, of course.

As for STEALING other people's pictures, I'm pretty sure it has been well established that images don't have to be marked to protect the owner from other people using them.
