In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Problem with Brandon Wiek

What's done is done

Well, I was trying not to have to post here again, but I guess I will have to explain a few things a bit further.

Those who are siding with Mr. Steele seem to not be paying attention to the fact that he guaranteed the animals to be feeding, which they still do not and Mr. Hinkle is most likely correct is saying the stress from the mites cause them to go off food. The animals are very thin and have a lot of excess skin on them. This leads me to believe the animals did not feed regularly like they were advertised to have.

Oh, I almost forgot about the fact the he said the Boas were about two to three times the size they really are. Here is another quote from Mr. Steele. “The male you were looking at is about 6'6" and 20lbs. The female is about 6'3" and 16lbs.” Now, the actual size of the male is 61” and 6.8lbs and the female is 68” and 6.3lbs, another obvious difference. If anyone would like to see photos of the animals I will certainly take them and post them here to show their obvious lack of nutrition.

I also want to say that if this situation was ever presented to me and I was on the opposite side (God Forbid). Given the circumstances, I would take care of the situation. Despite the embarrassment I may incur.

I understand that unless Chris has a sudden change of heart I will not get my 675.00 dollars back and just so everyone knows these animals will not go into my collection at any point nor will they be sold to anyone. The animals are going to remain here at my home until they are feeding, healthy and mite free, then they will be donated to a local pet store or Herpetological Society. I wish everyone the best and hope that someday everyone can realize the importance of not having mites, ever! Much less sending them to someone else.

Cordially,

Male

Here is the male. It is clear that he is not 6'6 and certainly not 20lbs.

Here is the female, she does not look too bad, but she is certainly not 16lbs or 6'3.

Now, add mites to the condition of the animals and ask yourself if you would feel good about spending your hard earned money on these animals.

I hope this helps add closure to this situation.

Oh by the way I don't have any oversized golf balls.

Thanks,

Lol about the oversized golf balls, so you claimed they where longer and heavyer then they really are. do you have emails where he claimd the size? or a link to the add? if what your saying is true you defenlty deserve your money back

Size Matters!

Here is the email he sent me about the size.

"Sorry, I just got my computer from the shop. The male you were looking at
is about 6'6" and 20lbs. The female is about 6'3" and 16lbs. How would you
like them shipped? I usually just ship however the buyer wants them
shipped."

forget the mites , if he told you they where bigger then they actully are then you have every right to a refund. i was in favor of the other guy if it was just becuse of a little mite problem. but you cant claim your snakes are larger then they really are thats false advertiseing

I told you too that I was measuring weight with home scales and could not guarentee that its right. You were given pictures of the snakes and the lengths I gave you are correct.

Chris

You should be ashamed of yourself! That male looks like it going to die. Is that how you represented the animals before shipping? I really hope you plan to make this right.

I Took It In The Shorts……

Chris told me that he would not refund my money and he was “Sorry.”

As far as the animals go, they are getting better. The Male has fed twice now and is up to a whopping 4lbs and I can barely see his ribs now. As for the female, she is different story. She still shows no interest in any type of food, despite my best efforts. Both animals have been treated with Flagyl and Panacur twice now and have two more treatments to go. The mites seem to be eradicated. I have not seen a live or dead one in weeks now, but I will not feel comfortable that they are gone for a couple more months. The animals are obviously still in quarantine at my home and will remain there until they are ready to be donated.

I guess the bottom line is…. I should have known better!

Brandon,
I know how picky you are with your animals, but I have a question.
Why get rid of them? Why not keep them seperate from your other critters for a few months until you know they are on the 'up and up' and then keep them?
Like I said, I know how you are with your snakes and I can appreciate the caution you are taking. Just an idea I thought I would share.

Only One Reason....

Brian-

I cannot have the risk of IBD or some other disease in my collection. If I introduce these animals in a few months or a few years it doesn't matter, if they had mites then they could have IBD or something else, especially being WC animals. It just simply is not worth the risk for me. My collection is to important to me to have that happen.
