In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Before reading, please note I have screen shots of all conversations and documents and they will be following my written post.

I am Wendy Snyder (Wendy Jones until recently.) I sold a male and female bearded dragon, both just shy of a year old, to Brad-Lee Peltier of Elegant enclosures on 4-19-14. They paid $600 for both. The animals were healthy and in good condition and their histories were disclosed.

They told me she was doing well, and on Thursday posted a picture of both dragons looking good. On Friday he messaged me stating the female (Moya when I had her, Daisy when they had her) was near death. He claimed she had severe MBD. He took her to Dr. Katrina Black of Midtown Animal Hospital in Lawton. I called the vet and she confirmed that she saw them. She couldn't give me any details due to potential legal issues, but she did say our care wasn't the cause of her death.

I was in Las Vegas getting married that weekend, so Erin Harris of Desert Dragons went to buy her back on Saturday on my behalf with the understanding that the animal was still alive. She was not alive when Erin's husband, Gerrit, arrived. They froze her body, which had a strong odor. They described an oozing hole in her back.

I took her body back from the Harris's Monday evening after flying back home. She was taken to Oklahoma Animal Disease Diagnostic Lab in Stillwater, OK, for her necropsy. I have the report back except for one test which is still pending, histopathology. The body was so rotted that they can't determine much.

The Peltier's still have not shown me their vet's notes. He says he emailed them on 5-2-14 but they aren't in my inbox or spam.

I want to see their vet notes in full, since I paid for the body of the dragon. The vet cannot discuss them with me herself unless Brad Peltier or his wife Katie Peltier sign a release. I want to know why her body was allowed to rot long enough for the examiner to determine "severe autolysis." If their vet notes contain information that suggest an actual cause of death unrelated to my care I feel it was dishonest and wrong to take my money to buy back a dead body and cause me to have a necropsy done that may have been unnecessary.

I'm new to the way attachments work here, so it may be slow going getting them loaded. I will post through his saying they were well on April 21, all the way to the necropsy report.

I think that's everything. Let me know if I left something out! Letting Brad know I've made a post now.

*I just realized I was calling Robert Guiterrez of All About Beardeds Richard when I was texting Brad, apologies!

His reply to letting him know I had made the post. He apparently sent me a screen shot showing part of the notes, but it was cropped very oddly with no other parts. He does not seem interested in posting the full notes here.

Seems like something henky is happening. My first suspicion is that the report from Midtown, in your last post, isn't for the same animal, thus the delay and partial transmission. How could you not know that a beardie has bad enough MBD that they virtually have no bones left? One day straddling a dashboard, a few days later no bones?

I don't understand how she could go from the windshield pic to the next pic you provided in 24 hours though, either.

I'd like to see them come here, but usually the "I'm done with this...I've already spent too much time" doesn't lead to a thread where information is presented by both sides. .

Along with the "JAG call" threat. That would get him nowhere. JAG doesn't get involved in civil matters, which this is. I think he would fear a call to his Shirt much more than I would fear a call from the base JAG.

Why did you buy the corpse back? How much was the animal sold for when it was alive? How much was the corpse purchased for?

I was in Las Vegas when he contacted me on Friday. The animals had been pick ups, as Lawton/Fort sill is an hour away from Moore. When I spoke with them on Saturday morning they made no suggestion that she had died when I told them the advice I had been given about meds. The dragons solo sale prices listed (if they were not sold to the same person at the same time) were 400 and 350, so they asked for half her "price" back, 200, to "cover vet bills., They were actually for 600 for the two of them.

Erin's husband Gerrit went to get her and apparently wasnt certain if she was dead when he got there. He bought the body and Erin confirmed it was dead when he brought it home. There are screenshots talking to the Peltiers about it on post #4, Erin says why Gerrit bought her in #6. It's a bit of a mess, but if the Peltiers had been clear the dragon was dead it would have waited to be dealt with until I came back, and not by sending someone to try giving her meds.

Erin and Gerrit didnt contact me to discuss the problem until later in the afternoon, I assume because I was getting married.

I'm pretty certain they gave the right body, but yes, unfortunate and frustrating to find out I threw money away with no paperwork. I don't expect to get any money back though I would like it, just want to know what's on those notes and why Erin and Gerrit insist they saw that oozing hole in her back. In one of the pms I posted one of the Peltiers said the male "charged one of the weenie dogs" like it was cute, so I have ideas about what happened, just no evidence. Since he has shut down, that isn't happening. I'll just have to be content that I went as far as I could, and that the necropsy report came back with no MBD like Brad tried to throw at me.
