• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

profeccions

well . . .

A long time ago, I finished a BA in Biology - but then went on to Seminary and became a Lutheran Pastor.

Right now, I'm serving as a Campus pastor/missionary at a State university in Minnesota. Pretty cool job - get to hang out with college kids - no meetings with crabby people - a good band to play with at church (guitar, brass and sing) - plus they don't mind the reptiles (yes, I have a herp display in the chapel).

I have two children, aged 16 and 11, besides working with herps (yes, I still have a few leos, but mostly rhacs nowadays.)

I enlisted in the Air Force in 1995. Served my time working as a linguist then got out and found no job due to severe carpal tunnel syndrome (from being a linguist). So now I work with my father doing mortgages and spend the rest of my time working with my Leos. I have a degree in advanced communications technology...whatever that is...and am going back to school to complete my business degree. After that I plan on going back again to major in biology. If the VA ever fixes my hands I'd like to become a reptile vet but I have doubts about that so this is probably what I will be doing the rest of my life -which is fine by me. I love my Leos!

Already tried that route Alejandro. Had it now since 2000. Have gone through surgery with no success. It is more of a nerve problem now.

But I can take care of Leos just fine!

Well, Right now I'm a Grade 12 student working in a local pizza place (and absolutley loving my job!) But after a graduate I'm going to take a few hortaculture classes at a local universtiy/college and a buisness course after that and then open up my own florest shop, and of course sell vivarium and reptile suplies on the side!
