    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

THIS IS TO INFORM THE PUBLIC ABOUT ALAN BOSCH REPTILES

I would like to tell all herpers and hobbiest to beware some of the big breeders !
After selling my collection to one of south carolinas top Ball Python breeders, it has taken 1.2 years to still not recieve all of my payment and when the issue was pushed all I got was a reply THAT HE WAS HAVEING FINANCIAL PROBLEMS, when I told him we all have problems he replied that his lawyers would handle it from here...... Wow isn't it amazing that they are as nice as can be until its time to pay...RIGHT ALAN !
Honest is a hard trait to find, and as in all fields of life the herp biz is no different...RIGHT ALAN !
I hated to put the south carolinas breeders name until recently I thought he was honest, but when buying a reptile out of Monks Corner(charleston) I would be very careful, anyone that is having finacial problems may take advantage of anyone buying or selling to him.
I will be amazed if this is not deleted like on Kingsnake, but maybe a few will see before that happens...Like the 2 who contacted me before they deleted my comment...
Not all breeders are the same, I know quite alot of good honest breeders, I hope they take no dismay as to my comment on one in south carolina(charleston--monks corner).... maybe this will send the buyers their way instead of his....RIGHT ALAN
 
Well, I've never actually bought anything from Alan. But many of my friends have, and they've never had any problems. I also know of a few people that have sold things and traded things with Alan, and there has NEVER been a problem. Did you possibley get a little bit on the nasty or even threatening side of things when you contacted him? I mean, if he owes you money, and you're not recieving it, I'd understand your anger. But how you go about it is key in dealings like this. Maybe Alan felt threatened for what ever reason and that's why he contacted the lawyers. But like I said, he's always seemed to be a pretty good guy. I can't remember a time when anyone started a negative thread on here about him. Good luck with your situation.

I'd certainly like to hear what Alan has to say but on the surface of it, 1 1/2 years is quite a long time to wait.

For the purposes of this forum, it would be helpful if you could provide the specifics of the situation that you are comfortable divulging

For example

1.) The timeline involved in the deal and subsequent contacts.

2.) Was the agreement in writing or verbal?

3.) Are their Emails to substantiate your claims?

Anything you have that will paint a clearer picture would help.
 
Well all I did was tell him we all have problems, and this one could go away with payment, and it would be much better to pay now or listen to me at the next reptile show explaining in front of friends and colleages how he has treated me, I have never had a bad deal with alan until this and if you owe, you should pay, i mean it has been 14 months now.......
He also promised not to sell a few i have "gave him free" and low and behold they were sold on kingsnake a few days later...... thats my beef with him and all he has to do is pay.... If i was in money problems and owned snakes worth 10,ooo-20ooo dollar a piece, telling me no money is not right
 
Also David, attaching a post to every active "Bad Guy" thread stating "Sounds like another Alan Bosch to me" does not help your case. It just makes you out to be belligerent and unreasonable.

Stating your case cooly and in detail will garner you a lot more support

How did this business transaction take place? Did you contact him first? Did you meet at a show? What was sold and what was the final price discussed and agreed upon? I am not doubting your story at all, however, do you have emails saved? Please post them.

The more you can post to further your case, the better at retrieving your money owed. Thanx in advance.
 
yea, you are right. He needs to give you some of it. If he can't pay all of it right now, so be it. But he needs to attempt to pay you for something. Like said in one of the posts above this one, I'd be interested to know Alan's side. But as for your comment in the thread about Bruce @CRE and Alan being alike, that's wrong. Alan is not that bad. LOL.
 
How about keeping it in this thread. Going from thread to thread on others typing “sounds like another alan bosch to me” is trolling at best.
 
Yes plenty of e-mails from him and me to back up my story, and him agreeing to pay, but he has just had $$$$$ money problems...ha ha ha... wild thing to say when you own thousands of $$$$ worth of snakes

14 months ago the deal was done, with alan coming to my house and picking up and me delievering to his store and helping set up his dart frog set-up, and helping the employee to know husbantry of them and how to keep the fly cultures going.......

I have supplied all the great seafood at his 50th b-day party, for pennies on the dollar and was treated as somewhat of a friend.....

The deal was done with a handshake, in my world and south carolina courts that is a binding contract.... ISN'T IT TO YOU !

Just beware G Q PUBLIC, one good deal with a person does not mean he is treating everyone that way
 
So what was the deal for? You just said that Alan picked up the whatevers at your house, then said you delivered to him. Off on a tangent about seafood at a party?
All anyone wants is the details to show what went wrong so people can better advise to get you your money.
Start from the top, what was the deal? What for? How much? To be paid when?
A verbal agreement is still a binding agreement in most places. But it sounds wacked when you won't give up any real details, then run all over the site posting Alan is bad on threads that have nothing to do with either your deal, which we still don't have specifics on, nor Alan or any deals with Alan.
There are several good threads about Alan here, so you'd have to show what the deal was to explain what you are owed.

No one is disputing your honesty or anything else. You need to calm down and supply a more coherent statement of what happened if you want to get any useful input. You are understandably irate but again, you need to calm down
 
The part about the seafood was to show how i was treated before the deal, I had know alan for a few years and he had sold many of my offspring on commision and always paid, and I have been overly paitent with this deal. I was trying to save alan some embassment by not posting the details fully but as I see he has many friends who have to see to belive, more power to them and I hope they watch their dealings with him carefully. I will still have some respect for alan and not put to much about his shady dealings with me, payment is all I am after and I am sure that with his fan club being here he will be notified that i am writing here and many other sites until that payment is made.......
 
David, we are trying to help you here. Any emails that you have saved will help make your case much more viable to those who use this forum. It will also help others who conduct and or intend on conducting business with Alan in the future.

It's not that we're his "fan club." We're just simply making the point that none of us have heard anyone ever say anything like this about him. We're not saying we dont believe you. We're just simply saying that this would be first. Dont get all defensive. Chill. I understand you're upset, I would be too. If nothing else, see if he'll give you one or two of his high dollar snakes to make up for the money. He may truley be in bad shape money wise right now. And selling snakes isn't always that easy. Everyone wants to trade all the time, not buy. It's just an idea...
 
Yep, exactly. I haven't heard bad about him, but that doesn't mean that you didn't get ripped off.
It doesn't matter to me WHO the person is that owes money, they still owe it.

If you are serious about getting some help with your problem, the BOI can be a tremendous resource. There are many success stories here where people have been able to resolve their issues with the help of the membership.

If this is what you are looking for, then you simply need to follow some basic guidelines. Post a chronological accounting of the facts regarding your transaction. Leave out the emotion and stick to the facts as you understand them.

If you simply want to vent, that is fine too, but the BOI is not the place for that.

First you need to know that the BOI is nothing like Kingsnake. Bad guy or Good Guy posts are almost never removed. But you need to provide us with Evidence that something even happened.
If you have emails that were exchanged with Alan you need to post them here in chronological order so we can see them and learn what the deal was. What you offered, what he offered, what the conditions of the deal were and how much if any of the deal was completed.

Please calm down and give us a look at your evidence.

It night also be prudent to let Mr. Bosch know that this thread has been started so he can explain his side of this as well.

Wow.. David, your jsut not getting it... I don't think anyone here is a "fan" of anyone else really. It is just that if you are going to make statements that you are getting ripped off, if you post the proof, Ie. reciepts, e-mails, contract, agreements... whatever it may be, then it helps the wheels get rolling for others to contact him to see about payment to you. I personally don't know the guy, but like everyone else, details are worht thier weight in gold. THink about it... ANYONE can come in here and start a "bad guy" thread about anyone else.... Wouldn't you agree that if someone was going to start a bag guy thread, they should post proof of thier accusations? I think everyone in here would be asking for proof even if someone came in here and said You were a bad guy... Its only fair that you provide whatever proof you have of your accusations.
