In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Ok, i've read and have experienced "bulging" eyes before, and I know It's not usually something to worry about.

But this girl has been doing it for a couple hours now, and I have no idea what's going on, or if I should be worried but... here are some pictures. (And yes, this is the same dragon that had the really bad foot nip a while back. That is almost completely healed, she only lost two toes, thanks to povidine solution and neosporin). She has been separated from all my other dragons since the nipping incident.

One of my girls eyes bulged out that big when she was younger and I just kept it clean and tried not to mess with her for a couple days and they went back down on their own.

She laid around a little bit with her eyes shut, but I just wanted to observe her... She was fine within a couple of days, back to herself. I actually contacted the lady I got her from and she said it might be thick shed??? I was like "ok?". Her eyes still bulge up like that when they shed, so yeah.

The thing to worry about is when you start seeing crust and nasty stuff around his eyes. I'd tell you what ointment I would use, but I'm not a vet.

Yeah, she's doing a lot of lying around and doing nothing, hasn't eaten today either. She could possibly be going into shed, it's about time for her to do so. No crusties around the eyes, so I think right now she's fine.

I know there isn't much I can do about it, I just wanted to see the opinions of others. :)

She is now holding her head sideways, and lying her whole body on the ground...

does anyone have any other advice? I've tried giving her a bath, but that didn't do anything

UPDATE.

Just got home from work. She's dead. Her eyes are back to normal, but she's dead. :(

Damn it..

Sorry about the dragon Dan..how did you apply the povidine when treating the foot nip? Was it a bath or just brushed on. I'm just throwing this out there...if she was bathed in it is there a possibility that it irritated her eyes ? Even a bad allergic reaction?

Hey Angie,

Well, I was recommended to bath her in water, and let her drink and defecate (should she need to), and then empty that water, refill with just enough to cover her feet, and use just a small amount of povidine in the water, just enough to make it look like a very very weak tea. Most of the times, she was kinda on the wall in a corner with her back feet in and the rest of her body up the side of the corner (this girl never liked bath-time). Then I would always rinsed her off, and put her back in her home.

Hey Tom,

It is very unfortunate. I wish I knew how this had happened.

Also, it might be important to note that upon inspecting her body, I found that her eyes look very sunken in. I know that probably happens naturally to many reptiles, but her eyes looks EXTREMELY sunken, and her eyelids were sagging like flaps of skin hanging off, I guess from where the eyelids were stretched. Maybe the pressure was too much on her head? :shrug01:
