Disclaimer: These guys do not make good pets for children/novice. Box turtles require a lot of attention and care. If you haven't seen the infamous"duck turtle" with overgrown nails and beak; that is the result of improper care/husbandry. I am not desperate to sell these animal's as I rescue turtles and torts. Their offspring simply help funding of enclosures, medical care etc.

Pure Captive born eastern box turtle. Feeding on a natural, and varied omnivore diet. Things such as worms, snails, superworms, crickets, chicken heart, berries duckweed etc. Always research before introducing a new food. High humidity is essential. Good analogy; you want grapes not raisins. I've been keeping them in an inch of water in closed chamber. Ask questions any time.
Essentials:uvb lighting, basking lamp, basking area, moist substrate( top soil, sphagnum moss, coco core)or water.
