In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Pureagenda (EllMarie Richard) Sent me a sickly bearded Dragon

yes she should have been put in a bag an more securely wrapped up. Their were scratch marks on the styrophone, showing she tried to claw her way out

It was in the higher 80's that day. I'm not sure on her side in Az. But their was a cold pack taped to the side of the box. It had a lot of holes punched in. She was loose though with a hand towel wraped around her, and she was quite cold. I still have the box she was shipped in with everything that was in it. if anyone wants proof.

Here's an interesting post from another thread, where Pureagenda is bashing someone for the way they shipped a critter:

eww horrifying this is actually illegaland doesnt comply with the shipping standards. She should be fined but this gives us other people who shipanimals beautifully safely and as comfortable and sterile as possible a bad name .

^^^ that was about missmohawk that was a fun one lol
Has ellie contacted you about your offer to get the dragon back to health before you return her for a full refund

if you paid by paypal or credit card you can dispute the charge as this was clearly not as advertised and paid for
im sure that will get her to respond

Ok cool, I have been thinking that since I didn't use a credit card that I wouldn't have much chance in trying to get it back. And was thinking going to the bank to dispute it, it would be more difficult.

you paid from your bank then your in good standing they will fight for you with the proof you provide
its not hard if you use online banking you can dispute it right from home and make sure to let them know everything thing thats going on
you should win on the account that the advertised weight was 490 grams and healthy the item received was only 306grams and clearly not healthy

Well thats done and opened to dispute this whole transaction of the dragon. This will be harder to ignore.

She is clearly just starting to shed on her head. As for you e-mailing me saying "you do not take discounts on live animals."
I'm not asking for a discount, I'm asking for partial payment returned of what the dragon clearly wasn't which was healthy, 19", 490g, and breedable. She showes and proves none of these. She barely was alive

even if shes in shed she shouldnt have shed off 190 grams and 3 inches you have obviously lied in your ad and dont seem to want to correct it
you owe her a full refund forget about any partial you should be lucky Sonia has offered to get her back to health before shipping back to you otherwise it would most certainly be the death of her
this is an easy fix send Sonia her money back + shipping her back to you and when shes back up to health she will be returned

While I do not approve of the way the seller flounced on here, that does not mean that she does not have the right to some expectations as to the way the remedy for this transaction is to be processed.

If the buyer wants a full refund she should make arrangements with the seller to ship now.
If the buyer wants to hang onto the lizard and 'get her back to health', because the buyer believes she is so ill that she would not survive the trip, there needs to be evidence of a professional assessment by a vet to back that claim.

Otherwise, without taking the critter to the vet, the buyer bears the risk of loss if it dies, because a critter allegedly that ill should have had professional help.
If the dragon is that sick, have a vet look at it. If not, send it back.

And this seems to be the most reasonable choice

I totally disagree. While you have made some good claims that this dragon was not what you expected, and your refund request is reasonable in my opinion, it is unreasonable to expect the seller to fork over a complete refund while you retain the dragon especially as there has been no vet assessment.

That is true, As I said Earlier I am calling the vet today to make an appointment.
Ellie did contact me last night and did say that if she was returned that she would give a full refund, but, she didn't say if she would still do that if the dragon arrived DOA.

I think the buyer is definetely owed some sort of refund. This dragon was mis-represented in the ad. Very dark sub-par colors, weight and length were pretty far off from the Ad. Not what I would expect after spending $300
