"I knew there was something different about this girl the moment she hatched. She is actually 3rd or 4th of her kind ever produced, but the first that i have decided to sell. They are all coming from the same male we have here in our collection- and there definitely appears to be some kind inheritable trait going on here. These PurpleTail Goldenchilds hatch out a very rich orange and Purple, like the other high quality Purple Goldenchilds we have been producing here, but on closer inspection, they actually have a Purple skin color that extends up each and every scale, rather than the typical orange skin below the orange parts of the pattern. In babies, its harder to notice what's making them look so odd, but as they grow, and the scales increase in size, they start to lose their orange color more and more, from the tail end first, and going all the way up the neck- until they end up being nearly solid Purple animals with lemon yellow heads, and very sparse yellow tips brindling the scales. Time will tell just how much color they will lose, but these animals certainly offer some seriously exciting new traits for the selective breeding of the next generation morphs, and who knows how other genes added to the mix will play into these incredible animals?: -Jay Brewer, Owner of Prehistoric Pets
