• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

putting holes in sterilite tubs

I'm not sure i should ask this is this section so i'm sorry if that's the case. I was in the process of moving from aquariums into sterilite tubs and will be using the tops on them when in the rack. I was wondering if putting the holes in the top is as effective as putting them in the sides. I really personally don't like the look of the holes in the side but will ventilation still be good if done in the tops? Thanks for any responses.
 
I think most people put the holes in the tubs because the tubs get used in rack systems, while the tops get stacked up in a closet.
 
I'm going to build my own rack to use mine in as well but leaving the tops on them. Just not sure ventilation will work if in a rack with holes on top. I just don't like the look of the holes since it will be in our bedroom right now and wife wants it to look "nice" lol
 
if the holes are on top and the tops left on but then also put into a rack, it's not going to provide much. Is the back of the rack open or closed? Maybe you can put the holes only on the sides and back of the tubs? Just a thought
 
Pretty simple answer there. lol. I can just put the holes on the sides and back and won't ever see them while in the rack. duh....brain isn't working today. thanks for the reply
 
We built our racks where we dont use lids. We also dont drill holes in the tubs. There is about an 1/4" gap from the top of the tub to the shelf above it. Thats all the ventilation that the snake needs.
