    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

this guy has very,very poor service i'll never send him a another cent i had him make a rack just to see the quality...so i call him a few times and he flips cause i only bought one rack not sure:shrug01: cause i really wanted 3 adult racks and 2 hatchlings racks so anyways he started saying i wish i never would of took you money i was like wow ok i never told him i wanted more racks he started saying oh it's only $200 that's not the point it's about customer service he even got mad when i called for a tracking # when he told me to call so i get the rack and it's not even did he do this on purpose not sure:shrug01: so i do a BOI search what do you know i find good and bad post about him so here's another bad one:angry::NoNo:
 
Submitted that too soon. Was there a problem with the rack itself (quality or function)? Or was it just a customer service issue? (I'm not even going to begin asking the more specific questions I have)
 
Could you please explain what happened more clearly? I understand you may be frustrated, but please take your time and double check your post before you submit it. I'm having a hard time understanding what the problem was. Did you not receive the rack? Was the quality poor? Do you have e-mail correspondence?
 
OK here's the deal i call him to make me a rack Monday he said yes now take in fact i said how long does it take he said i can have it done Thursday or Fri cool so i overnight a postal m.o. then i call him again to tell him payment has been made he said OK call me like wed. or Thurs. so i said OK but i called him the next day just to make sure he got my payment so he say yeah i got it OK so i call wed. and he started bad mouthing like HEY DUDE I TOLD YOU THURS i was like wow i backed off i said sorry dude didn't mean to interrupt you so i hang up i call Thurs JUST LIKE HE TOLD ME and then he really let me have it man i wish i would of never did this and that dude he started yelling i said can i please get my shipping number so he spit it out real fast i couldn't even repeat the # back to him he's still yelling so i finally get the rack today put it together and my back panel is not cut even...so I'll never buy again from him lesson learned buy from the big boys or make my own... thanks
 
Wow. So here's the facts as I deduced from that:

1. Deal was made on Monday (2/2/09) for ONE rack (paid $200 delivered).
2. Payment was received on Tuesday.
3. Rack was supposed to be completed AND delivered by Friday.
4. Rack WAS delivered by Friday
5. Rack not the quality expected.
6. Seller represented by buyer as harsh and rude.

How uneven is it (what are the dimensions on the top vs bottom)?
How many slots?

$200 shipped seems pretty darn cheap and a turnaround time of LESS than one week is almost unheard of.

While it doesn't excuse the seller for being rude, I'll be honest - I'd consider you a pain in the ass, too, if you called me everyday until you got your rack. How many times would you call if you ordered from one of the "big guys" and were looking at a 5 week wait? Again - it doesn't excuse the seller for that type of response (assuming that your statement is an accurate reflection of how things transpired.
Have you contacted him about your displeasure with the rack? Or notified him of this thread?
Since you did mention a physical problem with the rack, it would have been reasonable to make him aware of the problem prior to complaining about it...at least given him the chance to improve your level of satisfaction (given the apparent history, I would have suggested an email, lol)

I'm looking forward to the seller's side of this story.

To try and defend myself.
Friday I get a call and he wants a rack and would like to come and pick it up the next day or 2 because he has snakes coming and I said it is a 3 hour drive each way and shipping would be cheaper so he said I will overnight you a money order tomorrow.
Sat. he calls and Say's money order is sent and I got the money Monday, then he calls and I was not here so my wife Say's yes we got the $ so he calls I think 2 more times until I am here.
I said I can ship Weds or Thursday so call me Thursday.
Weds came and he is calling again, I said I am working on the rack and it will ship tomorrow so call me at 6pm.
6pm came and I was in the middle of something and I could not give him the tracking # at that time and I said your shipping is next day delivery and if you do not get the rack call me, and he is like well I have snakes coming in and I might not be here to receive the rack so I might need to pick it up.
About a half hour later I Call him with the Tracking # and about 2 Min's later he calls back and Say's the # does not work can you give it to me again and then he Say's let me read it back to you and I said unfortunately yes.
On Thursday I have had enough with him and if the rack would not have been shipped I would have refunded his $



Long story short,
I was called about 8 times on this rack and he got under my skin.
Yes I Used poor customer service because it does not matter if he called 100 times.
I have never had this happen to me before and I handled it poorly.
 
Hey Jim, from reading the posts that the customer left on here, I can only imagine the phone conversations, or the lack there of. I think it takes a Big person to come on to a post and admit that things could have been handled a little differently. With never doing any business with pvc cages, if the need should ever arise, I think that Jims honesty on here and his willingness to fix the problem (if indeed there is one) proves to me that he would be worthy of doing business with.

i called when i was told....period i called to make the order, i called to see if he got the payment and i called when he told me to call...well you guys can use him i just said i'll never use him.....i don't care how long it takes and if the big guys takes 5 weeks then that's what it takes i didn't call 8 times lmao nice try...jim if you want to fix it just forget it i'll never contact you so forget you ever made the rack lesson learned
 
I bought 2 cages from Jim ,best service and cages for the money out there. I think maybe you just might be one of those customers that can't be pleased no matter what!
 
I've bought from Jim and had no problems. Rack came when he said it would, went together with no problems, and I never even talked to him on the phone.
 
I don't think I have ever posted in a thread that didn't concern me. This one deserves it.
If I ordered a rack and it was made that quickly I would consider it a personal favor.
However, I would never ask a friend to do that since that would seem like taking advantage of someone.
I don't think the seller should have gotten mad at the buyer. I completely understand why the seller did, and don't
blame him a bit. I believe that Jim/PVC Cages was very good to this guy building the rack so quickly.

I have made all of my rack purchases through the "big companies" and have waited 6-8 weeks for each rack. This so called "bad guy" thread has led me to believe that my next order will be with Jim at PVC Cages

I have dealt with Jim in the past and would do it again. There was nothing wrong with the rack, the service, and I called him 2 times and never had nothing but a nice guy on the other end. Jim is a good guy and should be viewed as one.
