    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I'm new to this website but i was wondering if anybody knew anything about "PEEDEEREPTILES"  prices seem low but I'm not sure.

I really hate to sound rude but if all your looking for is a low price, then buy your reptiles at the flea market !  This is a board that helps people b referring good and bad dealers, so people feel comfortable dealing with soeone on the interne or to warn people of somene with bad business practices or someone who is just a plain old thief.  Its not here to help you find the lowest price on an animal.  Just because someone has a low price does that make them a reputable dealer ?   Look for people who sell quality animals and have good business practices and have a good reputation, and finding out these things is what this board is about.

If I am not mistaken Alex is asking if someone has done business with PEEDEEREPTILES. At least that is what I read from his statement. He seems to be a little suspicious because their prices seemed to be to good to be true. Similar inquiries have been posted in countless ocassions and people have provided their input.

Gary, he didn't ask for a lecture.  He asked if anyone knew about Peedeer reptiles.  Nothing wrong with low prices as long as the reptiles are healthy and the breeder is reputable.  That's what he was trying to find out.
 
Well I didn't realize I was giving a " Lecture " but I didn't get the same impression you did , which is why I responded the way I did.  I got the impression that in his mind a " Good Breeder " was someone with low prices, but he hadn't heard anything about the dealer as to whether they are trustorthy or not.  If I was wrong then I apologize, but the person who posted originally never denied the point I was making, which is that low prices don't make a good breeder.  Again this is my opinion and you can take it for what it is worth.

Well David, If you want to put me on your list of people to never buy from ( OH I'm scared ! ) that is fine.  I did nothing to you, never went off on you and really to be quite honest, don't care about you.  I think I will do just fine without your business.  I have tried to clarify why I was upset by the post and I am not about to continue that for you.  To be really open about this I feel your are a slow witted dolt, why else would you threaten never to business with me because my opinion was " Arrogant " ?  Does that mean that if you dont like someones point of view that you dont do business with them ?  Do you even know what I produce ?  Have you ever seen my animals or done business with me in the past ?  The answer to all these questions is no !  Based on this I will put you on " My LIst " of people who are a pain in the *ss and I wont do business with.  Now this reply to your post ..... is arrogant.  But at least now you know the difference.

Well gentlemen I must say that for a first visit to a forum it has been a rather disappointing one.  I normally don’t bother registering for a forum that has a member such as Mr. Walsch; however after reading some of his clever post I felt inclined to speak my mind.  Sir you are what is wrong with this hobby/business and its use of the Internet.  Your negative attitude toward “newbies” and vets alike is disgusting and this site now has a nice black eye because of you.  Just because you can beat someone up does not mean you have to.  Your opinion are just that, yours, and as such you do have the right to keep them to yourself.  You read way too much into the request for information on the dealer with the good prices and then attacked everyone who tried to correct you.  Be a real man admit that you jumped the gun and that you have a bad attitude and try to keep it in check before your negative influence hurts this site, its members and our hobby anymore.

Two old sayings come to mind here: 1)give someone enough rope, and they will hang themselves  2)sticking your foot in your mouth.

I never mentioned anyones name, business or personal, but I think we all know who I am talking about.   I learn more from this board looking at attitudes on posts, grammar, etc.   People who feel they need to pipe up and post something negative appear to have nothing better to do than sit on a board waiting to jump on someone....makes you look lame, business wise and personally.   Your posts-this goes for everyone-show alot about you, whether you realize it or not.   For instance, I would not buy an animal, no matter how nice it appears from someone with an add like this:   "Gots me this strippEd bal puythun fer sales"   And I have seen adds like this.   The internet allows people to hide behind the monitor screen.   In the old days, you walk into a store, see how clean it is, nice fat snakes, cool, knowlegable sales staff, you buy the animal.   Those days for me are over, do not buy pet store animals anymore, and usually have no idea what the person I am buying from even looks like.   So, I have to buy on reputation, postings, knowlege etc.   For example, the Sutherlands, I have purchased several high ticket items from them, the are very cool people, knowlegable, and you NEVER SEE THEM POST A NEGATIVE POST, AN UNEDUCATED POST OR ONE ATTACKING SOMEONE.   They are very concise and to the point, have awesome animals and a good reputation.   Which is why most of my animals have come from Kahl, Sutherlands, Sharp, Jons Jungle, people I have heard of and that have a good reputation.   I don't believe any of the above would have answered the original post like it was answered.   Anyways, I am rambling....
 
I have to agree with everything you said about the Sutherlands.  I too have dealt with them and I think they are top-notch professionals.

Well lets start off with David Reid........  First off I said in an earlier post that I apologize if I took the original post the wrong way  ......  Second of all you are the one that came out of nowhere and said " BACK OFF " and " I would be on your list of people not to buy from "  I was very angry  and maybe I shouldnt have been so harsh but I am allowed to get upset too.  And again if you feel the need not to do business with me based on the fact that I got mad, then thats fine, in my mind that is a childish statement made by someone just trying to start something.  Now for Trevor ....  You usually dont post or join a forum where people like me are members ?  I may have jumped the gun on the original person ho started this thred and that was admited in an earlier post, but sometimes I get mad when people see a low price and right away think that is a person to buy their reptiles from.  I think you would agree that is rarely the truth of the matter.  I dont think I have a negative attitude either because I got mad at one person whether it was for the right reason or not.  I do apologize if I reacted wrongly to the origianl poster of this thread but I dont apologize for anything else.  I think for someone to judge me based on one post is both unfair and rediculous, and it made me furious.  I have never had a bad dealing with any of my animals and take very good care of my customers so for someone to judge my business based on a post is an insult to me, not only that but to post " I wouldnt do business with you " in a public forum is an attack on me and my business.  You mentioned " opinions " in your post and the fact that I have the right to keep them to myself .... well the same goes for you !  Instead in attacking me, you could have kept your opinion to yourself but you chose to post it publicly, as did I with my opinions.  Opinions are like a**holes ... everyones got one !  But you were the first one to start a stink with your opinion by judging me.  If you felt so strongly about me I would have welcomed an email from you asking why I was so mad, instead you quickly publicly judged me.  I have said more than enough in my defense but I cant stop you from being intollerant any more than I can stop anyone else.  I have said my peace.

Hi folks....I'm back home from Dallas now, and (obvously), I've been following this thread to see where it lead.....well, here are "my" thoughts!
First off....I realize Alex (no last name Exlander) is new to this board....but, I gotta tell you, the way he "wrote" his question, made me feel "exactly" as Gary did?? I, also, thought he was trying to find the least expensive animals he could??? How do any of you "know" that's not what he had in mind??? He's "never" been back to explain himself?? For all we know...Gary's opinion (and mine) are correct!
I can't tell you how many times someone has called me on the phone at the store to ask me how much I sell baby Veils for? When I tell them the price ($59-$79), they say that the "flea market" is selling them for $49!! I ask them if the ones at the flea market are Rob Trenor's Torquoise Veil's?? I don't think so! Even my regular-phase ($59) Veils come from some of the best breeders of Veils in the country! Obviously, this guy is looking for a "cheap" chameleon?? He's not looking for the healthiest, the brightest colors, the different?? He wants the cheapest....I actually tell them that you get what you pay for....as in anything you buy...sure, sometimes you can get a great deal on something if you're in the right place at the right time, but, that's few and far between....
The only problem Gary had, was getting mad (like I have) and saying some things that he probably wishes that he can take back (like I have), but, you can't "un-ring" a bell....so you live with it, and try to make the best of it (like I did)! I'm willing to bet that there are a lot of folks out there who thought the same thing we did when they first read Alex's post....
If any of you know Gary Walsch at all...you'd know he's one of the nicest guys around and honest to a fault! His Chondro's and things are ALL gorgeous and in perfect health....just cause he might have said some things that "sounded" wrong...that's no reason to bash the guy, because...as I said before....we don't know "what" was in Alex's mind when he wrote it the way he did....If any of you want to go back to the first thread and read it again...you'll see where it "can" be taken the way Gary said???
OK...I'm rambling, but...the point is...Gary has already admitted he might have been wrong (I don't think so, though)....why don't we hear from Alex on this subject??? I'd like to know what he actually meant, too?? ....Neil
 
It seems pretty obvious to me that the poster saw some animals for sale by a certain breeder/store, the prices seemed kind of low, and the poster was inquiring on the background of the breeder, because the prices seemed below market value.   IE:an add says albino ball python, adult male, $1500 or best offer.   If I saw an add like this, I would DEFINATLY want to know about the persons previous dealings etc. because an adult albino ball would be closer to $5,000, unless it was a het for albino:)   Don't be so quick to judge...

David....I'm not judging anybody prematurely??? When someone writes a sentence so ambiguously, there are going to be a multitude of interpretations you can give it....I gave it one of my own??? Is that wrong???

That statement leaves no room for abiguity, and no doubt as to what's on my mind, does it?? If you want to write in "one-liners", you're going to have to expect somebody to question you??? That's all I'm saying....Neil

The only thing Alex didn't do correctly was include his last name.  Everything else is supposition on the part of some.  All he asked for was a referrence on a breeder with low prices.  Isn't that exactly the type of questioning this BOI was designed to receive?  Whatever . . .

Alex, I can't help you on the actual question you were asking.  Sorry.
 
Sorry Darin....You're mistaken again!! This BOI is for "good guy" and "bad guy" posts...if you just want to ask a question about an individual or a company....you should do it on the "discussions" forum!
I could be overruled by Rich...but, I doubt it...
