I'm hoping to breed two double het (hypo + albino) Honduran Tangerines. 1/16th of the babies will be albino AND hypo. I was thinking that since hypo is just LESS melanin, and albino is NO melanin, that they'd look just like albinos. Is this correct, or would hypo+albino be a different morph, like snow or something? Anybody know or can point me to the right sources?

Thanks in advance!

Not sure what the picture is actually showing, looks like an albino next to a Hypo. Maybe I'll surf over to Terry's site and see if there is an actual explanation, cause the question the OP asked has been something I myself have wondered. It seems the lack of Melanin (albino) would just cancel out the less melanin (hypomelanistic). Maybe the orange would be somewhat washed out like some of the hypos. In which case I would stick with a regular albino, cause I like the bright orange contrast, a washed out orange albino wouldn't be as attractive, in my personal opinion, of course.

One description I read while googling for the pictures said that the white bands took on a lavender cast. Terry would be the go to person on this one though.
