    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I got up this morning and found my leos 2nd clutch. First was definetly infertile and she is a first time breeder. This is my first time breeding geckos so im kinda new. When I found them they were firm but had a few dents in them. I put them in my incubator for a couple hours and went to look at them and they werent so firm anymore. I tried candleing them and they were completely yellow except for a red ring on the top. Does the ring mean that its fertile? Thanks for any replies.

The veins should mean they are fertile and she may have laid one sooner than the other allowing one to be more firm.

If the humidity in the incubator is too high they can get "less firm" not unfirm but do have a different texture.

Even if I know the egg is infertile I incubate it just in case that 1 in 1 million chance that it may could hatch lol

Check the humidty and make sure its Ok and the wetness of the incubation medium. If its too wet, take the lid off the egg container and check the eggs in a few hours and see if they firm up.

all right ill check the humidy. Im using perlite and it doesnt seem wet. Is 80% good for the humidity?

all right so the humidy is at about 86% now so ill just wait a few days and hopefully ill have my first fertile eggs!Thanks a lot for the info.
