In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

If you were to loan out a female normal ball python to be bred with a co-dom male in the super form and had a deal worked out on splitting the hatchlings would that deal change if the breeder put a different male in? or should the deal still be exactly the same??

For starters, if I were to send out a female - normal or otherwise - the person shouldn't be putting a different male in without my approval.
As far as whether the deal would change, that would probably depend on the male....and the original deal.

First have it in writing.
Second, if the 2nd party put in a different male, he should have checked with the 1st party prior.
Third, if the male was also a super co-dom then yes you could keep the same agreement. If it is anything other than a super co-dom, then you're in a pickle and will need to figure out what happens when the clutch hatches/according to what you would expect in the hatchlings.

Get it in writing. Always.

the male brought in

the male put in was not a super codom but was a codom that produced all 5 codom babies. the breeder is saying that since it was a more expensive snake they should get 4 and me one since we just had the deal on the 50/50 super codom.

original deal.

50/50 sire owner gets first pick. have messages of that agreeing to it. never had agreement on other since wasn't sure who the sire was. i did no the other male was being put in there and did not have an issue with it.

Hmm good question. I guess I would expect the same deal? But if they decided to breed to something you didn't want then that would be kinda crappy.
IMO I do not do breeding loans at all. I don't ever want to be faced with getting one hard to get snake and two of us that really want it. On top of that after talking with some very higher up vets for reptiles. I would be to worried about quarantine. I know that 6 months is what was recommended by most of the herpetologists. I some times let it slide if I know the person who I have bought from and do 4 months. It all seems like to much work.
Ok sorry now Off my soap box. Also before I get tons of hate replies. I understand we all do thing not exactly the same and I respect how you keep your animals and would not bash. I just choose to keep mine a different way. Hell even my son & I disagree on a few things. Does not make either of us right or wrong.

Ok really now done rambling on.

Back on topic if its something you would still want then it should be the same deal. I would really mention that it would be cool if they decide to change up the breeding pair on ya.
That is all
Peace and hope all works out.
Ted
