    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Hi, I'm new to the forum and was thinking of buying a [redacted] through a member that posted on the forum. I wanted to pick up the little guy myself as the poster's location was local to me, but he only wants to ship it. My only concern is being sold a sick/dead animal or possibly having my money taken without receiving anything at all (the poster has very few forum posts). Does Paypal help get your money back in cases like that or would I basically just be taking a risk in buying from this poster? Any suggestions or feedback would be more than helpful.
 
Many sellers don't want random people coming over to their houses for security reasons, which is understandable. You can ask the seller if he would meet in a public place instead, or if he will be vending at a reptile expo in the near future you could purchase the animal there.

If he still refuses I would be wary, PP doesn't typically offer buyer protection for animals.
