In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I have a boa that is almost 25 years old and I have a few questions for any one who may have experience in this area.
1- How old can a red tail boa live (yes, I know, at least 25 yrs)
2- she's declined significantly over the last few years (loss of appetite, weight loss) is there anything I can do?
3- has any one ever tried "loading" food items with added nutrients and how did you do it?

Thanks, I appreciate any information you might have.

ok i have about 10 years experience and to be honest with you after 25 years you have to be extreamly careful to keep up perfect husbandry on the animal. on some of my oldest boas i have noticed the same decline in feeding responce but never anything that dramaticly affected its overall health. if you are feeding it rabbits maybe try a smaller prey item like 2 jumbo rats. and yes i use a calcium supplement that is sprayed on to the food, and you can pick it up at almost any pet store, i use the zoo med product.if you have any other questions that i might be able to help you with feel free to ask.
