    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I was never one to really pay attention to the karma system.

Pretty wild thought that I must have been so high in positive karma that the suspension didn't put me in the red. Not that it would matter much if it did because I think red is a pretty cool color.

Point is....that all it is.....colors. Guess you have to offer members something for the price of admission.
Rich has suspended the ability to give negative karma which includes when someone comes back from a suspension.

I don't know about that, Alan - not allowing members to give negative is not the same as automatically removing it with a suspension.
Chuck's karma took a hit, I'm sure - it says he is at 350-449, now (by mouse over)

is it possible to only remove suspended users ability to use that part of the system and give bad karma? and allow the rest of us, as silly as the karma system is ( but i still love it, and it makes me happy to be able to use it bad and good) who respect it enough to still continue to use it?

Thanks Jim! I see what you mean about missing the fun. The poor fella is probably still licking himself and howling under the bed. Man did he get TAGGED! heh heh.

No, the warning point "nuke" was not removed from the penalty slap of being suspended. I have removed my own capability of handing out negative karma as well, however, I can go into the admin page and make any adjustments necessary to neutralize someone abusing the system even with positive only points.

Not without custom programming, which I don't foresee happening....
