In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I am wanting to do something new with the reptile room I have. I'm down to just my dubia roach colony, which is another thing i want to figure out how to sell, and my only male eastern indigo snake. Purchased in October of '13, he was as a newborn that year. I would have to check with Robert to see his exact hatch date. Might be on the USFWS paperwork I have. Will have to check. Anyway, it isn't a must that I sell him, but I'd like to list him and see how that goes.

I never got into breeding, I started out with that idea but just decided he would be a wonderful pet. We've toured schools and such for the kids to see him. It has been fun, he's very friendly unless it's feeding time!

What would be a reasonable price to place on him? Any of you in this forum maybe breeders and could give me an idea of something like that? I'm guessing 5' - 6' in length, very thick, but I've never measured him. Wasn't important to me, but if I decide to go through with this I'm sure I will have to get one. And also would give me an idea if he is on par with where he should be.

thanks,

Brian

There is currently a pair of eastern indigos up on kingsnake with a price tag of 3600 for the pair. From the sounds of it, your male is of a size and age with the male in that pair (claimed as a 2013 animal).

I would hazard a guess at 2000 to 2500 for his price range, but please don't take my word on it. This is a guess, as I really have only seen juveniles sold as individuals.

If you do decide to sell him, see if you can scrounge up some lineage information on him. It would make it easier to find an unrelated female for him that way.
