In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey
Im starting to get a little concerned, i just got an 08 ball python. He last pooped on the 3rd and i have fed him 3 mice since then, i just fed him today. I have heard that if you soak then in a tub of warm water that will usually get them to but he hasnt. I have soaked him for a half hour everyday for the past 5 days. any help is appreciated

I wouldn't stress about it too much. He sounds like he's eating and doing fine. If he's like most of mine, he'll probably make a large stool shortly after you next clean his cage. Or, he'll have a large BM with his next shed.

Good luck!

The longer you have him, the more you will learn about his particular habits. I've got some snakes that want to eat when they are full on opaque, some that won't even look twice if they're getting ready to turn opaque. Just pay attention to him and you'll pick up on his habits in no time.

I tend to feed and if they go three feedings and don't poop, I wait until they poop to feed them. Perhaps the temp is a little low, maybe they prefer the cooler side more, this will make them process slower.

If you're feeding excessively small mice, they will go longer as well. How big is your python? My 08's are up to lg rat pups now at about 400g+

Wow, everyday for the last 5 days, that's dedication. heh. Way to go, though.

OK thanks
i have 2 others there both normals and one is 5 years old and the other is 2 1/2 and i have never had this problem with them before.
Its 94 on the hot side and about 78 on the cool. He does stay in his hide alot though. Ill trying bringing the temp down along with waiting to feed him and continue bathing.
Thanks again
Matt

I meant to say bring the temps up not down in the post above. I was in a hurry because i had to leave for school
Also hes about 200g right now and he was hatched on july 16 and feeding on one medium/small mouse 2 times a week ish, i have to buy my mice from a store and sometimes there out, i have a trio of asfs im going to be feeding once they start giving me some babies.

I wouldn't raise the temps above that. The cool side seems a little cool, but as long as there is a gradient in between the 94 and the 78, your python can find a spot to its liking.

alright ill keep it where its at and see what happens. It looks like he might soon because he has a bulge right before his vent.
Thanks again guys
Matt
