    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

questions

one ditch the water bowl ..i had a juvie die from drownding so you should already mist it everyday if you dont then start and it can drink from that ...babie crersteds dont need pin heads just go to small they will grow faster.sounds like your doing good other wise.

oh, I mist every day its just that lotsa people recommend putting a shallow dish of water in there, I mean the only way she could drown in that thing is if she stuck her nose in it and comitted suicide! I thought that a cresties so small had to have pinheads. I can get the younger ones when they get them in! Thanks!

they only eat pin heads for one week..right after they hatch their first feeding i give them pin heads then after smalls and bigger means you need less and they will grow faster...yah mine died from putting its nose in the water it was only __that deep or so..so i would take it out you dont need it since they get misted....

ive seen people use water bowls but i only put mine in there once there about 2 months old, when there younger i mist them like 2 or 3 times a day, when there older i do it once or twice a day because they have a water dish. its very strange that your crestie drowned. sorry to hear that. thats a first for me. well good luck with your new crestie. :)

I took the water out, thanks for the heads up! I'm sorry I forgot to mention that I am sorry for your loss, thats a terrible way to loose an animal.
I have to mist a lot to keep up the humidity, I have set up the big terarrium to see what I need to do with the smaller one and have a thermometer and a humidity indicator in there (I also want to get everything ready to have adults in there someday and get it perfect for when I do). So I need to put a small heat pad on the bottom of it cause it gets to 66 at night in there!(Big fan and a lot of blankets person)
It is usually 74 so I figure that should be fine and the same temp as the smaller one.
What percentage of humidity should they have?

I mist once or twice a day and mist new hatchlings more often...I only keep water bowls in with the adults colonies...I feed every other day and that's what the book recommends as well...
mine start out on small crickets just fine

here's a page that has their environment temps and humidity

Congratulations on your new crestie! Be careful, they are very addicting. Before you know it, you'll have a whole colony! Hmmm...sounds familiar. Lol. :)

Thanks for the site Rachel! And yes, I will have a colony at the latest by Christmas time! Lol!
