I have an almost 2 year old female hog island boa. She has been eating like a cow since the day I got here as a baby. She jumped up to small rats within her first year. It seems now though that even though the food is the right size (same width as her largest girth) and she's moved up to eating every 5 days, she is still hungry after she slams down the first and acts like she is ready for more. So I was contemplating either 1. move her to a 4 day feeding schedule, or 2. feed her 2 rats on the same feeding day(with the possibility of going back to a 6-7 day schedule if she seems to be more content for a longer wait in-between feed days).
So my question to all is, which would be more beneficial and better for her health, shorter time in-between feedings or just more food each feeding?
