    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Tonight I got home from work and was going through the nightly routine of feeding everyone and checking them out and found that Siachen, my blizzard had prolapsed both hemipenes. It must have happened sometime this morning because last night he was fine. I took him back to work to see if anything could be done but unfortunately he already had extensive tissue necrosis to both hemipenes. I debated for quite some time on whether or not to do a purse string or even amputate. He then passed some stool and it was not healthy looking and very dark with blood. Frank blood I don't have a problem with, dark blood is just not good. After much debate I opted to euthanize him because my gut was just screaming that it was not going to turn out well. I really wish that my gut said otherwise, I normally listen to it. The doctor who helped me do it was great with doing the cardiac stick on him. He never moved for anything we did. I know I may hear differences of opinion on what I did, but I did what I felt was best from what I saw. Such a shame, he was a gorgeous boy and I had gotten two precious little girls from Pat to breed with him next year to work on a blazing blizzard project. He was also my first leo, my boyfriend got him for me as a christmas present last year. He meant alot to me and I'm going to miss him alot.

Sorry to hear. Its always rough when we lose an animal. You did your best and made sure he wasn't left in pain.

Thank you Jamie for your condolences. I have yet still to bury him, right now he's in my freezer. My boyfriend keeps telling me he'll get me another blizzard, but I rather wait for now. I still get misty eyed thinking about him. I'm trying to divert my attention to the hogg island boas and corns I'll be getting from my friend but I know it still won't make me stop thinking of him. On the good note, the female I bred him with is gravid, so hopefully I will have some of his babies to carry on his legacy.

That's really too bad :( I remember when you first posted about him. It sounds like he had a good life with a devoted keeper, it's to bad it was cut short. My condolences and good luck with the eggs.

Thank you Alice, it means alot to me. As of yesterday I have one egg that hopefully will hatch out. The female had also bred before with a different male, so hopefully she has no more retained sperm. If it does turn out to be one of saichen's, it will be mine. We'll see in a couple of weeks. I have the egg in terrarium moss in a deli cup and am keeping it moist at 86 degrees. I have an extra cup of water to keep the humidity up too in the incubator because of all the heat we have been having here. Hopefully in 6 or so weeks I will have a little blizzard/tremper albino baby.
Today Dean, the bf, decided to drop a bug in my ear that the petsmart by his mom's has a blazing blizzard and a regular blizzard that both look pretty good in health. He just doesn't know the sex. I don't know, think I need more time.
