    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I am starting to move in to the new building. I figure a new building that I needed to clean the racks and spray them with PAM to start out right. All the snakes were soaked and then treated as well. Saturday we got through about 40 snakes and Sunday about 45 more. I have 3 racks in the building and two more to go.

Man I would love to have spent my weekend doing what you did. Imagine 2 days straight of some jaw-dropping animals, I'd be in heaven. That's part of the reason I like to stay small, I even enjoy cleaning day.
On the moving note, that is no fun but at least it's just to the back yard. My wife is looking at buying a larger house so I may be moving mine a bit further, and I'm not looking foward to that.

I am with you Mike. I enjoy cleaning day as well. Taking the snakes out, making their homes nice and clean for them. Watching them explore the cleanliness of it all.

Maybe a dumb question but how and what did you treat them for and why the PAM?

For mites. It's provent-a-mite not cooking Pam! I always treat any new snakes that come in, but you can get them from live rodents or from shows. It's easy to treat snakes individually to make sure you don't get any, but its hard to treat the racks. If you have ever gotten mites you will understand preventive maintance.

I've moved my collection 5 times in the last 2.5 years, no fun at all. Haven't had to deal with mites since I was ordering burms 20 years ago but feel your pain there too. Way back then I ended up using a mixture of ivemectin and 7 dust and those no pest strips but guess there is better stuff like PAM now. Avoid wood I guess.
