Okay, so I'm almost done with a rack I'm building. I know which containers I'm going to use but I was wondering if any of you have an inside pic of a bin. What I'm wonjdering is how you set up the hides and all. I want to give each leo have as much room as I can cause I'm used to tanks where you can add alot of decor stuff etc. Just wondering.

ok the one with the albino is how i keep my juviniles and hatchling however i mist my hatchlings on a regular basis for the first month or so

the picture with the patternless is how i keep my adult males.... all my females are kept the same but they always have a humid hide... i have never had any shedding problems with my adult males

I use the same bin as robin, and here are some pic of white food dish (I like solid color so they can't see the crickets mealies or what ever moving around in the dish from the sides) from walmart, clear little glass bowl from a Ben Franklins (craft store) with a rock in it so the crickets won't drown. and a piece of slate or rock that sits over the heat tape and absorbs the heat. I have pic's of the inside, but they are from back when I used to use newspaper, and since then I use "Nothing" for a substrate.....so I won't post, but I use a "glad" reusable continer with a hole drilled through the side.

Ok! I took some new pic's! The large hide is for laying females and the smaller hide is for males and juveniles. The green cap is for vitamins.
NOTE: I know some of you used hides with holes in the top, and it would definitely keep the bin cleaner (especially when the females are digging) but I did these so long ago I haven't switched, but I think if I did it over I would put the hole on the top!

Here is a picture of my normal adult bin. My bins are 45 qt steralite sliding drawer storage containers. The hides and water bowls come from petsmart and the mealie and calcium dishes come from walmart. Normally found near each other where they keep the small kitchen stuff like ketchup and mustard dispensers. The calcium dish are those coasters you sit drinks on (6 for $1 at walmart). Just rip off the corkboard and viola. The mealie dishes are 2 for $1 at walmart as well.

For water, I use little bowls for the adults, and soda bottle caps for the babies. Food goes into a little bowl, or a lid from a soda cup, something like that--so does calcium powder.

The babies and single adults get toilet paper rolls for hides. I keep an eye out for them to go "in the blue", and wet down some of the paper towel I use as a liner for a day or two until they shed. I put laying females into a sweaterbox, rather than a shoebox, and they a "Baby Magic" baby wipes box with one corner cut off the lid, and damp coconut fiber bedding inside. They seem to absolutely love this, the box is just the right size, they have room to dig and explore it, and it's nice and secure (opaque plastic).

What size tubs are y'all using? I am looking to set up my adults individualy but am limited on space. Is a 15qt sweater box (17"L x 11 1/8"W x 6 3/8"H) large enough for an indevidual adult?

Thanks,
Jeff C.

Jeff, I use 15qt tubs for my individual adults, I am sure many others do as well.

Very nice set ups...

Robin - you do a very nice job of labeling everything. I bought the same hide containers you have at the dollar store. I had a hard time cutting the hole in the first one because it cracked as soon as i stuck the razor knife into it, then rn the second one under hot water before cutting it and it didnt crack so thats what i do now when cutting the plastic/tupperware containers.
Right now i have the sterilte boxes in my rack that you dont have a great view when looking in do to the off white color, i ordered the clear ones so i can see everybody better.
