    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Has he tryed to buy anything off of anyone else??


This guy wanted to buy to any and everything I had listed for sale I listed three three snakes that had to be sold asap due to law changes. he said he'd take them all and sent payment then two days later on easter he said "

so he wants a immediate refund . This seems really fishy to me I have been ripped off before with a return check scam a couple years ago. And I know that there are a couple of return ebay/paypal scams going on right now as I sell on ebay as well .
Buying then returning because of budget cut meetings for a school that all happened durning easter weekend when every school in the us is closed . This all seems way to fishy to me he knows I can take these back legally.
I will be contacting paypal for there advice I guess.

Does anyone else know this man or have an opinion?
 
I'm not sure I'm following what your concern is- did his payment not clear yet? If his payment didn't clear and he wants an immediate refund, tell him you cannot refund him until the payment clears on your end.

It does sound fishy- perhaps it's a case of buyer's remorse?
 
I think I am safe refunding through paypal but he now says that he will find out wednesday if it is ok with his school funding to have the boa's I will wait till thursday then refund and hope it doesn't burn me i guess this is a really bad bussiness to be in. I would have less trouble working an airport at lost luggage.

He's got an ad for a pastel albino boa - on 12/28 it was "I'm moving", and his current ad states that he was going to be for a classroom, but the program got canceled. (FWIW, his 11/7 ad indicated that he was in Maryland).
While it is possible that he moved - within the state of Maryland, of course - AND that some school program got canceled over the course of 3.5 months, the changing reasons for sale always make things look a little fishy to me.
 
Sorry I moved and our program was cancelled. I had 3 deals and only one paid. I asked for a refund with no communication from seller and then I was advised my a fellow member this was here. Im sorry I asked for a refund. I didnt update my profile since we moved and we placed our last boa up for sale as the program is officially off this year. Im sorry again and had canceled with the other gentlemen. Id rather you discussed with me then post something like this and pretend you havent gotten my questions for refund. With a tentative ship date for end of April and you needing to move them before May 1st I really didnt think we had a problem. You are not the only one I canceled on. Please understand we are non profit and If I could I would fund it my self. Again sorry for the three folks I had to cancel on.
 
I had a deal going with him and I just email him to make sure he was still in. He emailed me yesterday wanted more pics and a weight and told him I heard of him backing out on people so I wanted to 100% make sure he was taking him before I go through the trouble. This is what I got back.



I backed out of all my deals as my program was cancelled. I had three deals, yours is one. If you look on fauna I had to post my last boa as our program was cancelled. So unfortuantly I found this out yesturday. So im very sorry, we only made payment on 1 deal the other two we were going to pick up in Hamburg. Its not rght for people to post because someone backed out of a deal but they do it none the less. Im very sorry, hopefully if we get it next year I will deff look you up. Hope you understand and sorry for inconveninces,

Id also appreciate my home # removed from this post as that was given to the seller to discuss refund if need be. Id rather not have it posted for all to see. Also Id like to note that I paid him through paypal for a deleivery date for end of April so how is this a scam when snakes were never sent and are not due to send for weeks and I asked for a refund???? Just not following this???
 
If he paid through pay pal and the snakes are not shipped I see nothing wrong in sending it back. Other then losing a deal you thought you had and that sucks (just happend to me). I emailed him for a while now and was going to meet in person. All the stories are the same and I think things just went wrong for him and It does seem like a scam to me.

oldworldlife: Honestly you have responded to zero messages, started this thread to make it sound like I was ripping you off, and still have not refunded me my money. I made payment through paypal with my bank card and if it take making a claim I will do so. Im sorry I backed out of the deal but I gave you fair warning to our agreed ship date of April 30th time frame, which was the date you said they had to be out. You are now holding the snakes and my money. I really would appreciate a reponse to this matter. You have not answered any of my messages, all of which have been remorseful, and sympathetic. I will contact my bank regarding this issue Thursday if you still insist in not responding to me. Again I am sorry, but ignoring me, not refunding me, and starting a thread like this stating this is a scam is the wrong reaction to have in a backed out deal as none of the assumptions are true. Please advise as soon as you can

Well it's now thursday so as I said I sent a refund .
 
He purchased 2 boas from me over the summer while living in Connecticut. They were for a school class project. Shortly after he received them he asked to send one back. Then he notified me on a Thursday that he had been re assigned and had to move quickly and asked that I buy her back and she had to be shipped on Monday, just a few days from when he notified me. I agreed to take her back and charged him half the shipping.
I lost some money in the deal because I covered more shipping than I wanted to but I did.
He shipped the boas back in my original packing and they arrived alive and well. I was a bit annoyed because I have never had to take back an animal, nevermind two of them.
I attributed it to the school changing their mind on whatever project they had planned.
I guess I would make sure whomever is going to sell to him, make sure there is a stable environment for the snakes and that if it is a school project that they realize they cannot return them whenever they feel like it. He paid me for them via paypal and was very appreciative that I worked with him on the return. I returned his money via paypal
Overall I did not get the sense there was any underhandedness going on, just a bit of confusion on the part of whatever school was putting up the money for the snakes.
He came back to me about 4 weeks ago asking about a snake I had posted for sale but somebody ended up buying it before he could.
Hope my input shed some light on the situation. I would be cautious when selling to him. make sure you know the details about who is buying the snake and what for etc.
Other than that he paid me quick and sent back the snakes quick and they came back fat and healthy.
