In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Looking for adult rainbows, prefer Brazilian, for my classroom. If anyone is willing to part with one or pair for a reasonable price (I am poor teacher) Email me at [email protected]

poor teacher

poor teacher.hahaha the teachers that i am friends with are almost as overpaid as some friends that are cops.just say what it is.you are to cheap to pay the going price.

Well Ed I really didn't mean to get you wound up, I guess you have a problem with jobs that do a service for our community's like cops. Man it they get paid to eat donuts I guess. Of course I am sure you earn every bit of your income, and are underpaid. And for your information teachers in Texas start at 24k. Thats pretty sad for a 4 year degree, and the person we are trusting our future 2.

william, sorry to hear the teachers in texas are so under paid.here in n.j. alot of them are in the 65,000. - 75,000. range.and you are expected to mold the minds of our future leaders for 24 k a year.boy i wish i had a rainbow boa to give you.

Not all teachers are paied a lot. My mother in law is a teacher in Kansas and she doesnt make much either. She is trying to become a princeble. Hopefully she will get more when she gets that possition. I will have some B. Rainbow Boas as soon as I get them paied off. I will put you on the list for when I have offspring from that mated pair. I will donate one to you when they hatch some eggs off, you will just need to pay shipping.

Ed,
Well the cost of living is a bit better here, my house and 20 acres was 70k.
I was born and raised in National Park NJ btw

Starting pay for teachers here in Iowa is in the mid-$20,000 range as well. I don't know of ANY public school teachers around here that are paid what they are actually worth, IMO.

Stephanie ,

I really wasnt trying to get a free snake, I just wanted to avoid the costly morphs, and the regal bloodlines some are proud of. But thanks very much for the offer.

William, What is “reasonable” to you? You can private message me if you prefer.

Pardon me?
I dont know how much clearer I could have made it. Do you need glasses? I said, you are rude. I offered a expencive snake to someone that was wanting it, and for that I get you rolling your eyes at me and then basicly shoveing my offer aside so you can swindle money out of this person. That is the rudest I have ever seen someone behave on this site. EVER.

You missed it, entirely. The ad was placed for a snake at a “reasonable” price. I quoted you for a particular reason. Again, you missed it entirely. Please look at what I highlighted in your post.

Now, if I wanted to be rude, I would have stated something different.

Since you now called me a "swindler” for responding to an ad for a reasonably priced snake, asking what a reasonable price might be, I think, I will be rude.

I didn’t say you were an idiot. I put up a question mark. If I wanted to be rude, I would have said you should pay your mother-in-law a little on the side to tutor you instead of paying off your snakes. Then you both will be paid for something you both are in need of.

Again, You idiot! Brazilian Rainbow Boas don’t lay eggs! Feel better now.

Did I s-p-e-l-l it out for you?

I was only asking you a simple question then responding to the ad. I had no intention of being rude to you. That "swindler" comment was uncalled for.

This has to be one of the most entertaining threads I have read on here!!!

And I want a Brazilian rainbow boa egg!!

First off, I think it did look like he was trying to use being a teacher to get a great(read free) snake.. I don't really think that is respectable.. Its like me saying "Hey, I am a Firefighter/EMT, and I save lives, give me a very expensive snake for a "great deal"..

I don't see anything Dennis said as being rude.. It could have been very embarrassing for the person "Hatching" boas had he wanted it to be...

As for the third person involved, CBCG Geckos, seemed in my opinion out of line..

OK, flame me away now..

Wow,

You guys are a lively bunch, must not be much to do where you are from. I didn't mean to try to use the teacher thing to get a free snake, some people care where their animals end up, and some are in it just for the money. I think a reasobable price for a young adult female brb would be in 100-200 range. That is what I am prepared to pay depending on snake. You can look at my classroom website if you like, however, since school starts next week I am in the process of reloading pictures.

I'm afraid you're going to have some real trouble locating a young adult female for that price. You should expect to pay at least $250 not including shipping for a very browned out female animal if she is an '04 or earlier. Males tend to be less costly but again, an animal that would sell for $125-$150 as a little neonate will likely have doubled in price by the time that it is two years old.

If you don't mind the suggestion, it might be worthwhile for you to consider purchasing a Savu python (females only grow yo about four feet!) as they are relatively inexpensive snakes (hatchlings run about $65). Another good option would be either a West Paupan (aka Irian Jaya) Carpet Python or a Jungle Carpet Python. Again, these are relatively inexpensive animals (hatchlings are often in the $90-$150 range). Best of luck.
