Theraphosa blondi "Goliath Birdeater"
This is the world's largest tarantula capable of 11.5" leg spans and 6 body ounces! They are periodically imported, but the wild-caught imports don't always fare well once imported. Captive-born spiderlings do great, but T. blondi, while fairly easy to breed in captivity, have a earned reputation for being difficult to get a fertile sac from and successfully hatch out spiderlings. At Tarantulaspiders.com, we mated a pair in July and got the female to lay a sac 9/13/09. The spiderlings are now 1st stage nymphs and over the hump and are looking good. We can ship these end of Nov.
The hobby has been screaming for CAPTIVE-BORN T. blondi for over two years now. Here is your chance to get some! Get your order in today to reserves yours.
