In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Geckonia chazalia or "Helmeted Geckos" are one of the coolest gecko species I keep. I would have to say that they're my favorite terrestrial species. I've been working with these guys for 6 years or so, and they're easy to care for and loaded with personality. They used to be fairly available, but have almost disappeared from the trade. I had a poor year producing these last year, but I have 3 new pairings put together this spring, so with any luck, I should have unsexed babies available by late summer / fall. Right now I do have several young males available. If you're looking for an interesting display animal, or a potential future breeding project, these are neat geckos. I would really like to see a few other people have some luck producing these. People that buy / have bought males from me will get first chance at any unsexed I offer in the future. I am asking $90 + shipping for each male (possible discounts for multiple purchases).

The pictures below are of one of the actual males for sale and is a good representation of the animals I work with. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Gary good to see you are still working with these. Congrats and keep up the good work. I hope to add these to my collection again in the future

hey gary wondering if you still have some of these available? I recently purchased a crested from you(Love her by the way) met you in la crosse. Id really like some info on care and things like that ive always been fascinated with these guys after seeing them a while back.

Hey Cody,

Good to hear the gecko is doing well for you. I just sold that yellow male you were looking at (about 10 minutes ago... so it was weird timing hearing from you). Here's a link to my caresheet for helmeted geckos. It's pretty complete... http://www.ridgeandvalleyreptiles.com/geckonia-chazalia.html

I still have a couple of males left for now. In fact, I'm coming up to LaCrosse tomorrow to ship out a couple of boxes of geckos. Not to rush you into any decisions. I'll probably be up again sometime next week if you're interested.

Take care,

Gary

shes doing great actually was going to ask you if she ever produced for you or was laying infertile eggs? i believe you had her listed as just RTB but i just put her with a male recently and i can already feel some eggs seemed pretty quick. and yeah i think i willd def be interested in a male havn't had a chance to look through the caresheet yet been really busy. what size cage do they need is the most important thing i guess i dont have much space left here. wouldn't be this week would need to gather some supplies and such. possibly the next week or some time soon after that. when will you have females available from seperate bloodlines?

I'm very interested in these geckos. Although, I don't have the money at the time. How much money will the hatchlings cost?

Hey Cody,

The crested gecko female had never been with a male.

Helmeted geckos - 5 gallons for a single - 10 gallons for a pair or a trio. I have 3 breeding pairs, so when I have offspring, I can offer unrelated. It will be at least late summer before I have any unsexed available (first made available to those who've bought males). Usually the unsexed sell so quickly that I don't have any around long enough to be sold as sexed females.

I have a couple more boxes of geckos to ship next week, so I'll be up your way again (probably Tuesday) if you're interested.

Take care,

Gary

Christopher... Yes, I sold 1, but still have 2 extra males available.
