In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry Rare Pythons in Niagara Falls NY

So.....are you telling me that each and every gravid import is inspected by a vet, who can by visual inspection declare them to be completely free of disease, and they each have health certificates stating such?

don't be so stupid.

Surely you've seen the pictures of the mobile labs where they do a blood and fecal test on each of the thousands and thousands of animals at the airport for export? they are all throughouly check for all known problems, quarentined responsibly by the wholesaler and sold responsibly to knowledgeable experienced keepers.

These females lay their eggs and after a few months begin eating like troopersand become excellent breeders year in year out for you.

then of course you have the eggs. Now these eggs are amazing, big fat plump things full of 120G hatchlings which of course (being from africa and all) are certain top be all kinds of weird and wonderful new morphs EXACTLY LIKE the amazing morphs - genetic stripe (normal) and desert ghost lesser pied bee (or whatever this joker thinks it is - normal) (normal) - that this complete moron hatched, purchased and aquired this last year.

If you're especially lucky then you also get adult females who are het for "whatever-manky-unknown-diseases-are-lurking-in-this-fools-Collection" and possible double het for "I'll drop dead a few months after laying because i'll never eat"

How could I have been so ignorant? My apologies.

I don't care who ya are, that's funny stuff.

Ah signing of posts... My bad.

My name is Richard Mason (it's in my user CP) and i'm a breeder from the UK. Being from the UK I mostly just lurk, I didn't even bother with a username for ages as I just read - never posted.

I find the BOI useful as we do order animals from the states from time to time and it's handy to keep a finger on the pulse of the market etc in the states.

People like this moron really do yank my chain though...it was one of those ..must...not....post.... moments... I guess my outrage got the better of my common sense.

If I had to pick something I HATE in this industry it's fools mis-representing animals.

LOL, I wasn't referring to your name not being directly on your post (you don't have to sign it as long as your full name is over to the side in your profile)....

It was a reference to something often said by Larry the Cable Guy actually, lol. ;)

I enjoyed your post, really....and agree with you.

Excellent, I thought it showed up at the side there, one less thing to remember.

I wonder if rare pythons ship to the UK... I'll take as many gravid "pastels" as he can send me at $400 a pop  Perhaps a gravid desert ghost or two as well, those things still seem damn expensive over here :ack2:

I wanted to post this here before it disappears.

So everyone understands the way the Vet Certificate in Africa works. The exporters have a Vet on hand that signs a piece of paper where all the animals from the shipment are listed. They do not inspect each animal for health nor do they even look at the animals in most cases. Allot of times that exporters goes to the Vet's office with the paperwork and without the animals. It is a bogus way but it meets the requirements for international transport of the animals. I use to import weekly (sometimes multiple times per week) shipments from many different countries in Africa as well as many other countries throughout the world and most of the countries have something similar to this process for obtaining the paperwork for shipment.

Here is a copy of what one looks like from Ghana when I brought in a shipment of Balls & Uromastyx back in 2003. As you can see basically the vet just signs the document and that is it.

The only bad thing is that it is against I.A.T.A. regulations as well as USFW regulations to knowingly transport and import Pregnant or Gravid animals. The shipment can be seized (and many have been) if the inspectors find out the animals are gravid. Now does this mean that no gravid animals will be shipped? Nope there are many times animals come in gravid that no one knew about but in the case of specifically shipping gravid female balls there have been many shipments seized when they arrive into the country.

Chris, any comments on this?

Thanks Bill, I'm glad someone posted that on here... it is rather relevant, but I am almost positive that I know what Chris' response will be... (if any)

Got their wonderful Fresh Import gravids for sale again I see (WC morphs too!) ... Figured I may as well bring this up to the top to give people a heads up before giving these guys any cash...

People like this are NOT what the hobby needs.

Here is an example of one of their freshly imported "gravid" females.

Rare Pythons,

I would say it is time to move onto your next money making scheme.

What you are doing is like a car salesman putting a Mercedes hood ornemant on a Hyundai, and selling it as a Mercedes. Or, you buy a Hyundai, and the seller tells you it is a Mercedes, you do not do any research, and you try to resell it as a Mercedes.

You have proven repeatedly, you are ignorant regarding the Ball Python genetics, cannot tell a Ghost from a Normal, and take someones word instead of being able to look at a snake, and tell it is a Normal. Slapping a name on a normal will get you exactly what you have gotten...a reputation that is garbage from now on, in the Ball community. People have seen you at shows, and have said you are trying to sell obvious normals as morphs. I have no reason to think these people are lying, and based on your own photos, listing normals as Genetic Stripes, you are either dumb as sh!t, or trying to make a buck, hoping to find one sucker that knows even less than you do about Balls. Which is it?

Dave

cannot tell a Ghost from a Normal

Rare Pythons does not sell normal Ball Pythons.

Rare Pythons does sell "regular" Ball Pythons.

( in addition to their regular pseudo-morphs )

You're wasting your breath. He now has a "jungle" up for sale that he is taking offers on. Looks nothing like a classic jungle. A busy pattern and a small light spot on the head do not make it a classic jungle.

I think were approaching cheap nit-picking now when there are so many more legitimate things to pick on. I don't see anything written like what you're describing as in that advertisement. I could actually view the ad as the one time that he's been almost completely honest.

Jungle implies classic jungle or one of the genetic lines of jungle.
That animal looks like neither.

Poppycock! It said...Possible Jungle. Like what it appears to him to look like. Really cant be sure what it is genetically because its wild caught, and he openly admits that.

I like the possible het Pied myself. Its also possible its a normal marked up to 400 bucks. I guess with the disclaimer its ok to sell an animal as a possible het.

How can you see the het pied markers in the photo? All I saw was bad shed...

Hey Steve it did come from the jungle so its technically not false advertisement LOL
