• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Ray Singleton

Yes and more

if you are talking Ray fomerly of Florida, there is another person on here that use to work for him that i am sending a very old price list to. I don't think Ray is alive anymore though. You can find this info on my " other post " or all post by me with a picture of the old price list , I think.

Yes, that's him. I remember those price lists... nothing like being able to order Indigo snakes by the dozen, but having to specify if you want 'small', 'medium' or 'large'. Too bad he's not around anymore. Those were the days when, if you were a herper, you were reallllly on your own.

I am the "other guy". lol! And THANKS again Mike.
Anyway, I knew Ray fairly well. He lived only a block from where I now live when I met him as a kid. (me not him) When he moved over to Riverview--maybe 25 miles away, I couldn't as easily ride my bike to see him anymore.. There's lots of time and stories associated with it, believe me.
Ray has since passed as the result of a New Year's accident a few years back.
There was certainly a lot of good times and experiences showing up at his place to feed/clean cages, etc.
He gave me .50 per foot for cottonmouths! and a whole $1. a foot for edb's and 'possums. Lots of animals I would have never even heard of much less seen if I had not known Ray.
My first squirrel monkey cost me $8. Wooly--$75.
