    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Ray Woodring (Rays Pythons) DOA bad shipper

I used to tape the heat pack to the top of the box, which has it's share of problems. The tape tends to come off sometimes leaving the heat pack to sit on the animal. If the box is flipped over they are forced onto the heat pack. I now like to create a ramp up against one side of the box with the packing material (POLY-FIL sheets) and then place the heat pack behind the bedding. This gives the snakes a chance to either go to the side for more heat, or back away from that side for less heat. If placed on top they don't have as much opportunity to thermoregulate in possible shipping delays.

That is why you "encircle" the entire lid with the tape in all directions. 2 pieces of proper length tape to go around the ENTIRE lid, making a junction "crossing point" over the heat pack. Typically in cold conditions, I will put it directly in the middle... if we are pushing 74-79, I will offset the heatpack on the lid, allowing the animal to have some ability to thermo reg away, while keeping the average internal box temp up.

I've found it takes about 4 times the tape, but better to have it secure, then to fall directly onto the animal as well.

I believe it's clear the heat pack was improperly placed. This is starting to go off topic, proper ways to ship and secure a heat pack would be best discussed in the shipping or general herp forums. Thank you

Would it be out of line for me to ask you what the shipper's address was? I'm asking because, based on info I've been collecting regarding my incident posted on BOI, there is a slight (very slight) chance our cases may be related. His address and any phone numbers he communicated with would be really helpful.

Apologies April. Agree the BEL was absolutely beautiful and I hope the seller will be responsible. OP, you have done the correct next step putting in a dispute with your bank (hopefully you used a CC). I would recommend all purchases via paypal be made with a CC (Amex is best). You then have 45 days through PP and 60 days from date of "supposed" shipment with your CC company for a dispute. Good luck.

If you look a few post back all his info is listed I don't know off the top of my head all that info

wow 5 pages, while i can not say how sorry i am for both parties. I gotta say that is a LOT of gore for a snake that has been dead for less than 24 hours, (unless shipping was delayed). just sayin!
